Gamer insulter? What's the story on this?

no story.. just bias against hiphop. in one song of him, he attacked that much time spend on TV, Internet, Games, Media and so on... he's just is rapping about balance^^

The finals were a bit of a disappointment entertaining-wise but overall the games we've seen in this tournament were unbelievably exciting right from the start. I really didn't expect to have so much fun watching the games.

And yeah, Dimaga is the real winner of this tournament

How were the finals boring? If anything reaper play is some of the most exciting play in sc2.

Can i ask which game of the finals, you like the most?

Would you not agree that the most entertaining game was the one that lasted the longest when both players had more things to manage, more varied units?

I just have a few statements that I want to leave here because I think all of this whining is getting ridiculous from both sides of the argument.

1) For the people blaming Morrow for his play, what the hell do you expect him to do? Go "oh well my race is imba so I'm going to not try hard to make it even" ? He's been playing Terran since the beta first started. He played Terran at an incredibly high level in SC1. Of course he's going to play as best he can to win. You think that he's going to gimp himself just because he doesn't want random people on the internet to call him out on his race he's been playing for years being OP just recently? Come on.

2) IdrA did NOT play well on some of the games, especially Blistering Sands. 1000 mins/1000 gas? Max energy on queens? Come on. You can't say that IdrA was the better player that game at all and that he got beat just because of a cheesy strategy.

3) The game is what like not even 2 months old? People arguing about racial imbalances really need to take a step back and stop jumping on bandwagons. It seems like every single Terran on TL is arguing that Terran isn't OP, and every single Zerg on TL is arguing that Terran is more OP than anything else on the planet. I'm not saying that SC2 is the most balanced thing ever, it's obviously not, but seriously just give it time and try your best to play well. I'm so sick of people blaming racial imbalances for every single match ever that's being played right now, but I'm also sick of people seeing like one match where a zerg beats a terran or protoss and goes SEE?? ZERG IS JUST FINE.

I've been lurking TL for a couple years now and started posting about a year ago, and I really can barely stand reading a lot of sections of this forum anymore. Nobody is willing to compromise, nobody is willing to take a neutral stance on anything it seems like anymore, especially involving SC2. There's ridiculous, wild calls for nerfs and people blaming PLAYERS for problems with SC2. Really? Come on.

Of course there's going to be problems with SC2. I'm not even going to get into my biggest problem with the game, being that it's actually just not fun at all to play or watch, but even beyond that I can't believe people are SO incendiary that they have to be like this about a game in its infant state. Instead of making ridiculous claims and just trying to get whatever race you play at the time to be easy for you, why not actually make logical, well thought out suggestions. Terran doesn't need to be nerfed. At all. Zerg needs to be buffed however. But there's so many people who just are so ANGRY that they are blaming players like Morrow for it. Jeez.

If anything, be mad at Blizzard for making the game not fun first of all, and not balanced second. But please, please, please, don't blame the players. That's just ridiculous.

Congratulations to Morrow for winning the tournament, and congrats to Idra, DImaga, Tarson, and everyone else for being really good players and playing some exciting games.

I 100% agree with this. Live report threads used to be a lot more fun with people cheering for their favorite player and discussing games in a well mannered fashion. Now it's all turned in to one long flame war.

I wish people could just relax a bit and enjoy the games. Isn't that why we all came here in the first place?

Morrow is an incredible player. He deserves this win without a doubt. Also props to ESL for hosting an amazing tournament.

I don't want to comment on anything else but you're very wrong here. IdrA played beautifully in that game.
Scouting perfectly, not losing a single drone to the harass, a sensational surround on the reapers catching them completely off-guard. And transitioning into a good macro position.

Then ok he let it slip slightly in the mid-game but after playing so great until that point it's so hard to maintain your concentration.

As for the Queen energy, as if that matters in the slighest? to get the energy at 0 you have to use it instantly every time. Considering he couldn't even use that larvae if he made it and the amount of time he spent microing, this is nothing.

Man, though I really respect Idra I'm really stunned of his overall behavior. He has shown no emotions at all. If I would have won 2500 $ I would be at least as happy as Dimaga, probably much more. Seriously, he's appearance is also really scary - so pale and skinny. He shouldn't spend so much time playong games, you know, it's good to train much, but I feel he trains too much and this is never a good thing.
Except that, GG Morrow & Idra, congratz, you both played really well. I also loved Tarson & Dimaga play and good manners.
Btw. Tarson - the only person beating Morow :D
Nice tournament.

No, his mindset is " i play to win" - so he hasn`t won money - he lost the money that he would have gained from beiing first.
That`s some attitude you need to have.
Or do you think michael jordan for example said once: Well beeing second is great?
No he didn`t.

That's ridiculous, professional sports are not all or nothing, there are still rewards and goals for ranking highly. A second place finish in a tournament of this size is not exactly a small accomplishment

If you play to be number one, you play to be number one.
And you are not satisfied finishing second.
At least not in the first minutes.
You feel like a loser, no matter which position you placed.
I bet tomorrow he will say "oh cool i won money" - but just after losing you can`t get exited over second place.

Agree with this.

If he was happy about second place, well he already got second place by being in the semi finals. He could have done the standard opening and then basically nothing but GG after each reaper harrass and "STILL" have won the $2500 money.

He lost the match to be in second place... so the feeling is of loss. Now if he had played his best and was completely outplayed by the other opponent and put on a fantastic show (ala Dimaga V Tarson) then for sure, you could maybe expect a different reaction.

IdrA knows he messed up the Macro game on Blistering sands, he is probably kicking himself over this more than for coming in second. Seriously, people don't get that good at something by blaming anyone but themselves. Sure they may voice their opinions/frustration from time to time, but their overall mentality is that they want to perform at their optimum. Anyone who calls IdrA a whiner has absolutely zero clue. Whiners can not practice for 12 hour per day, day in day out.

Got to say whatever people think of TvZ there were some really memorable series of matches in this tournament. Idra v Demulsim on Steppes Dimaga v Demuslim and Dimaga v Tarson series, I really enjoyed, and still yet to watch Morrow v Dimaga . Final wasn't the best blistering sands had nice potential but Idra messed up a bit. Still looking forward to more tournaments like this .

Hopefully a couple more successful Protoss next one for some extra variety!

while i have all the respect for Day9 and d.apollo, they are not allways right.
during the LuciferoN vs HasuObs game they commented on the bad macro from Hasu who was floating 1k minerals when at the same time LuciferoN was up to almost 2.5k minerals and 1k+ gas.

just saying, commenting on player skill based on a low quality stream is pointless.

They were right...if he got 1k minerals it is bad macro and dosent matter how much the other player got.

Reapers need an adjustment...there isn't a single zerg unit under tier 2 that can combat them.

Still though I'm disappointed with the results (this is just more fuel for the terran imba fire) the tournament was very exciting and entertaining to watch.

It will be a close game, but the replays I have been watching with Idra is that he is having a hard to against Terran players. If Morrow beats Idra first game Idra will go on a rage like he normally does, and that is when It will be easier for Morrow to exploit Idras weaknesses. Should be a good M/U none the less, but I expect morrow to come up on top. Goodluck to them both.

Furthermore ANY German shoutcaster is using this word. Just because it`s a part of the gaminglanguage.
So it`s not politically incorrect in the first place, it`s a word which have been brought to another level to descripe a totally different situation.
Or did you see some reapers behind IdrA trying to pull down his pants?
