The game isn't fun at all...why are you even on this forum then?

Yep the only silver lining in this borefest of a finals is that terran will most definitely be nerfed.
Oh well GG IdrA is the winner in my book. [/QUOTE] You really made an account to say that?
Nah long time lurker but thanks for asking

It seems way too easy to plan a series against him and come up with counter builds. It sets him at a disadvantage in planning for BoX, in addition to the fact that his games are some of the most popular.
This isn't exactly an accurate comparison but even Jaedong couldn't win a starleague if he 12 hatched every game and is known for 12 hatching every game. Dimaga has tried different builds (e.g. quick nydus all-in), and we saw how well that turned out. Other than that, there is no other opening Z build besides 14 gas 14 pool that is safe against 3-rax --> 5 rax reaper. My point really didn't have to do with the games themselves. More of planning for a series. Idra is at such a disadvantage because people know the sun will explode before Idra tries any cheese/semi-cheese or even really deviates from his Idra build. So it is much more simpler to come up with strategies to beat him in a BoX.
Zerg have a good cheese? Honestly, if there was a zerg build that had a moderate success I'm sure some zerg would try it to throw terran off their game. However, if there is one, I certainly haven't seen it.

Not the most entertaining final. I don't understand the Morrow hate though, he was playing for thousands of dollars, limiting his strategies to other people's views of "honor" would have made no sense. Not to say ZvT isn't imba (it clearly is), but idrA tilted bad after game 1, letting himself getting up to 1000/1000 in early game resources; and chasing reapers off the creap with non speed boosted roaches multiple times (also his gg in game 1 was premature). Morrow also deserves some credit for pulling off a beautiful mind game in game 4, very well played.
This series did highlight the ZvT balance issues as well. 5 rax and 6 pool seem to have equivalent early game strength, yet 6 pool is totally all in, and can't be sustained beyond a couple minutes, while 5 rax, can with some high level play, transition into an expansion bio/mech build. This is really the problem with ZvT, Z simply has no viable agressive early openers against Terran.

yeah idk probably
lol
edit:
also why are people calling game 4 a mind game? it wasnt a mind game, he was hiding tech. it happens in every single starcraft game. this hidden tech was just more important

btw could anyone post a screenshot of dimaga stealing one of the girls ? My stream failed the moment he ran onstage thats why .

Just zipped all the replays from Day 5 of IEM, spoiler-free. Enjoy.

can we please stop the commenting on how good/bad the play was from IdrA or MorroW.. at least until the replays are posted and we can actualy look at it our self?
while i have all the respect for Day9 and d.apollo, they are not allways right. during the LuciferoN vs HasuObs game they commented on the bad macro from Hasu who was floating 1k minerals when at the same time LuciferoN was up to almost 2.5k minerals and 1k+ gas.
just saying, commenting on player skill based on a low quality stream is pointless.

How were the finals boring? If anything reaper play is some of the most exciting play in sc2.

As a note, you have to chase reapers. You can't just feint attacking them or the terran will just micro his reapers to attack move and dance exceptionally well. Further, after losing the zerglings (which will happen and has to happen) you need to push him further away to give time for the lings to hatch and get out, sitting on your creep without trying to scare the reapers off leaves you vulnerable to their longer range (and obviously no roach speed yet).

thats a pretty blunt opinion

MorroW had to use the stategies he did, because going into lategame vs zerg as terran, is almost impossible. Ultras destroy everything combined with banelings/brood lords etc. The only map you can do lategame in is probably blistering sands and steppes of war.
