Man, though I really respect Idra I'm really stunned of his overall behavior. He has shown no emotions at all. If I would have won 2500 $ I would be at least as happy as Dimaga, probably much more. Seriously, his appearance is also really scary - so pale and skinny. He shouldn't spend so much time playing games, you know, it's good to train much, but I feel he trains too much and this is never a good thing.
Except that, GG Morrow & Idra, congratz, you both played really well. I also loved Tarson & Dimaga play and good manners.
Btw. Tarson - the only person beating Morow :D
Nice tournament.

No sane Terran player is going to play a macro game against Zerg, especially against Idra, when there are these effective aggressive openings available to them.

Congrats to Morrow. He played a great series and in the final he was the better player and deserved the win. Will be exciting to see the next big tourney.

And MorroW just made best use of what is available right now, you cannot blame him or call him bad mannered / greedy, whatever.

Apart from really slight terran opening issues I cannot believe how balanced Starcraft 2 already is without a single balance patch after release. It's frigging amazing!

I wish Idra played differently at least every once in while. It seems way too easy to plan a series against him and come up with counter builds. It sets him at a disadvantage in planning for BoX, in addition to the fact that his games are some of the most popular.

This isn't exactly an accurate comparison but even Jaedong couldn't win a starleague if he 12 hatched every game and is known for 12 hatching every game.

Dimaga has tried different builds (e.g. quick nydus all-in), and we saw how well that turned out. Other than that, there is no other opening Z build besides 14 gas 14 pool and try to scout and adapt that is safe against 3-rax --> 5 rax reaper.

Yep the only silver lining in this borefest of a finals is that terran will most definitely be nerfed.

Oh well GG IdrA is the winner in my book.

Why do people complain about this series? MorroW showed amazing micro and macro. The game oh blistering sands was amazing and so were the other games. There is nothing wrong with abusing the features of a race, thats what you do in an RTS. IdrA got completely outplayed in every game. Its so stupid to say that IdrA is the better player when MorroW completely played him on every level. Yeah Idra is a great player but MorroW was clearly better in this series. Do you know how fucking hard it is to do what MorroW did in this series?

Haha, IdrA got it good, so much for the overconfidence. Maybe MaDFroG couldn't take it but, GO SVENSKA, GO MORROW!

Idra really played poorly in the last match. Can't blame Morrow for doing what he can to win, even if it was the same strat for every game bar final one.

Doesn't prove anything beyond the fact that Morrow took a gamble that paid off; something that occurs in EVERY sc2 game. Could have swung the other way so easily.

Kind of feels like I'm at a 2 party political rally, where everyone is divided between two parties, stating "their preferred party is better and the other is scum" with no reason other than bias (in our case, our preferred race to play).

As a zerg player, I feel cheated by Idra far more than by Morrow, in that Idra wasn't on the ball in the end, made the most mistakes and didn't bring his all to the final game. Morrow Vs Miraga was alot more entertaining, as was Miraga vs Tarson; two TvZ matchups that highlighted several back and forth counter/recounter action that simply wasn't in any of the games between Morrow and Idra. Idra is still a great player, but I just don't think he was giving his all in the final game, unlike Miraga against Tarson in the 3rd/4th place decider set.

Either way, grats to Morrow, Idra, Miraga and Tarson for coming 1st through 4th respectively, and providing hilarity both through the games and as a source of discussion for this thread

No, his mindset is " i play to win" - so he hasn`t won money - he lost the money that he would have gained from beiing first.
That`s some attitude you need to have.
Or do you think michael jordan for example said once: Well beeing second is great?
No he didn`t.

Yeah he really should care for himself a bit more in that regard... for his own fucking sake.

He should make a schedule like "1 Push-Up after each game". (And yes, look at that guy, he really needs to start with 1 maximum first :D )

Holy crap Carmac had a phenomenal wrap up at the end. Very professional and articulate conversation (minus the hearing difficulties). They should have had him do all the post game interviews over TaKe :/
