IdrA didn't have 4 penalty points and he was banned for one week. Once ESL stopped operating withing the rules they and the players agreed to operate under, players have no reason to continuing following said rules. In other words, once you have been banned for no reason, it becomes clear that following the rules will not stop you from being banned. Yes, and he has since insulted them TWICE afterwards, so if he had 2 before(the bigt thing apparently gave him 2) and gets 1 for each of those...well he has 4 now and is therefore suspended, that is what I have been saying. To clarify, my point is that he shouldn't have been suspended before, but he can easily be suspended now for things he has said about the ESL. Though why they would want to do that based on those things being stemmed from their own fuck up is a mystery to everyone here. Oh wait, no, it's because they have no idea what they are doing and would apparently rather take the heat of the outraged people on here because idra has pissed them off before. Like I said, this really is pretty stupid since everyone involved is to blame. Idra for...being idrA and ESL for having the organizational skills of a giant group of rocks.

Honestly, I'm not sure why you guys are getting so worked up about "rules" here. There's plainly no injustice being committed. IdrA was a dick throughout the tourney and they don't want him around anymore. Who cares? Fuck IdrA. If it were my money, I'd disqualify him too.

I guess we'll have to just agree to disagree because you're not getting/listening to my point, and lets face it, you're probably just trolling anyways.

From the MSN chat that was pasted, he called them "fucking idiots", and on here he's called them a joke. I would say that is 2 insults and there is his ban, even if he didn't do anything before he has earned one now. If this were a legal thing, they'd have so many ways to nail idrA on this, but since it's a PR thing they should really just work it out, because this beyond stupid for a fucking computer game tourney. I didn't know it was against the rules to insult tournament admins in non tournament-sanctioned events. I'm pretty sure I can so whatever the hell I want about anyone anytime in my own personal conversations and not get penalized for it (free country much). As for saying StarCraft is just a "fucking computer game" you clearly don't belong here. Go play Xbox or something super casual. The majority of us here take this game very seriously and it some cases (IdrA) it's their job. I think most sports are boring as hell to watch, but I don't go around belittling it in front of sportsfans.

Fuck him. whether or not that first line is true, his personality is obviously something the esports community doesn't mind. look at any tournaments/games IdrA is involved in-the turnout is huge because everyone wants to watch him play, even if it is to see him lose. people like watching the guy everyone hates, especially when he has the skills to back up most of what he says

He said fuck a few times inside a community very heavily used to the word fuck, enjoy the word fuck and use it quite often. He was penalized for being insulting I do not see the logic occurring here.

Dont bring your Idra-hate baggage here, that's not what the discussion is about. Idra got 2 pts for refusing a streamer, then 2 more points out of thin air.

In my honest opinion if this was truly about esports then it should be about electronic sport and ThatS IT. not electronic personality. did the other players complain about idra talking? no, so why the f do they give a ship ?

That doesn't mean tourney organizers gotta be ok with it. Their position is completely intuitive and obvious. There's no injustice here, and there's nothing surprising.
