Those were the venues for this season. It varies season to season.

If you can't make it into the top league online you really have no business showing up to play at mlg. They make their money from random halo teams who have no chance of winning entering their tournaments. I doubt they would go full invite like they should.

Take MLG's participation with SC2 with a grain of salt. They are not a reputable company.

I made over $1000 in a series of tournaments for a different RTS and I didn't get my money until after I contacted the BBB, the NY AG and the FTC. Even then it took 8 months when I was told 30-90 days. I have a friend who is owed over $1000 for CoD4 that never got his money. Take MLG's participation with SC2 with a grain of salt. They are not a reputable company. These were most definitely ONLINE situations though. MLG live events work much differently

With that said, it's good to see MLG pick up Starcraft 2 and hopefully open up the doors to a competitive proleague in North America similar to that of Korea! Goodluck JP!

HDH got hundreds of thousands of views. It would be a good to MLG if they got just a reasonable fraction of that, but without top players and big money it's not gonna happen. They're wasting a big opportunity, IMO. I think at least some of the bracket should be invites, for the really great players and then have a qualifier, much like the GG invitational. edit: bah I keep double posting sorry.

Sounds like PR bullshit to me, they've been intentionally obscuring routes to talk to higher-ups. When I was trying to get my money, I was asking every staff member how I could speak to someone higher up the line. They all refused to give me any contact info. They force everything through lower-level staffers. Go read the GB/MLG forums and ask around. Not gonna hijack the thread anymore just letting people know that MLG is not reputable and you need to be very careful to document any winnings incase it comes to legal action.

Hi my name is Adam Apicella, I'm the SVP of League Operations and Production for Major League Gaming. My direct email is aapicella@mlgpro.com. We always pay prize money, period. In the 7 years I have been here this has been a strict business practice, regardless if 10 people show up or 256 teams show up...we always pay. So there you go, no obscure routes to higher ups, I run everything. If you are owed money I want to get you paid. Hope to see you guys on the circuit!
