Doesn't work since top 4 from last tournament are seeded into the second round. If you had 64 participants then you would have 60 players playing in the first round with 30 advancing, leading to 34 players being left in the second round, and 17 players in the 3rd round.

Now instead there are 56 players in round one with 28 advancing, adding up to 32 with the seeded players.

With the way they organized it, I'm sure they won't be seeded into second round, but seeded so that they play the "bad" players first round, which makes it ro64, instead of free byes first round

They stated on the first page that only 60 players will be able to participate though, and the seeded players where counted into this.

Idea for remaining players: set a cut off date, and look at global ladder (there WILL be a global ladder compiled by someone). Go down the list and invite players who aren't already invited. This way you can reward ladderers (something that rarely happens), and be very flexible with the number of your remaining slots.

This seems like the most logical way to determine the rest of the invitees.

I'm going to go out on a limb here (not really) and say that the ladder won't have enough time to stabilize at the point of this tournament. In the future ladder rankings will be a viable option, but the first time after release, not so much.

Then maybe the ladder from beta phase 2? Either way, simply inviting players with fan followings doesn't seem like a fair way to determine invitees.

Destiny - Streams as Steven Bonnell on TL. He's a great Zerg player that doesn't go mass Hydras. Big fan of things like burrow and nydus worms. Will definitely be a change of strategy from other Zerg players. Has competed with a few of the top players and does extremely well on ladder.

Would have to agree, It there is still room for more people, Destiny would make a great choice!!

if you're going to invite azz, filthy should really be thrown an invite as well.

failing that, pinder or moonglade will put up a good fight as well.
