At least check the rankings for a little bit of guidance, if nothing else. Ranking isn't everything. The GSL RO64 had a match where the top SEA ladder guy with 2k points lost 0-2.
The guy he lost to was top 15 korea server too.

cauthon has a ridiculous win percentage because he was stuck in platinum for an extended period of time and only recently made it into diamond
Division does not affect who you're matched with.

Who is NadaGast? Please tell me it is Nada ...

This thread really fell to page 3. sucks its taking so long from blizzard =/ (felt was bump worthy) Hope you agree as this is a ongoing tourney....

Nadagast is still a WoW player, plays WLD with Hoodrych and Velsus. He played in both events at the last MLG, placing 3rd in the WoW event I think.

Not that I doubt HDs word, but has it taken this long for any other tournament to get approved?

I actually would really like to know just when HD put in the application for this tourny. I would be nice to know how slow blizzards approval process is. It seems a bit redonkulous.

So no games have actually been played? It's been really really long.
Good luck with the application! I know you guys can get it.

Redonkulous indeed!

It's possible additional problems have occurred. They probably want to schedule it so it doesn't interfere with other major tournaments so all big names can compete. They'll probably wait until after the gsl in any case so any update won't change much.
|
When: Sometime shortly after SC2 Launches Retail.
I know that is a vague statement... but when does shortly after SC2 retail become a little while after SC2 retail?
I think they're running out of time

They have like what ? 10 days break between GSL S1 and S2.
|
All the matches are online right? Then they can just make sure the players playing in the GSL don't have their matches on the same date. For that they need to know the schedule of GSL then it could work out. So it still takes quite some time.

Hurry the hell up Blizzard! This is going to be sick!

This is becoming more of a joke every day that passes. But I gotta say its in line with blizzard tradition, "when its ready".
Hope its done by christmas atleast.
