When i finally got back home i "happily" turned on my computer and was very excited to watch the VODs of the final. HOWEVER... there were no vods to watch!! now wtf day9, my mom went through 2 surgeries and u cant even get 1 vod up in that time!? how slow are u... your slower then my grandma!

oh my god.... 700gb? Are you kidding me?
I knew there was gonna be a lot of video to upload but damn.... 700gb is massive.
I'm bored, so here we go: We know day9 does not live alone. Because of this, I will assume he has a decent internet connection, 10/10 Mbps. 10 Mbps = 1,25 MB/s = 4,5 GB/h (Ideal) Thus it will take him 700 / 4,5 = 155,56 hours to complete the upload which is ~7 days.
Damn.
Edit: Completely forgot about day9 being a math major. I feel a little dirty and ashamed for posting such simple math here =/ Probably got it wrong too! lol.
Maybe day9 can use his ninja powers to upload the video using Harvey Mudd's internet connection. Waiting 7 days for it would make me sad.
Edit2: Raw video = big. Compressed video = not so big. I have never used blip (or any video hosting). Are you supposed to upload raw video? I would assume blip do some encoding of their own so if what you give them is already encoded..... it will not be pretty. I dunno.

Then let's hope he will prioritize the tourney games. 700 GB is a shocking amount of data indeed.

Is it just one big 700gb file, or is it broken in many segments? If it's just one big 700gb file that makes things a lot more complicated.

You got everyone hyped up and following your tourny and countdown party and now you're just straight up dropping the ball.
Not everyone was dedicated enough to stay up till 4am to watch it live.

Wow, dude you need to learn something..
If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all... HE DOESN'T OWE YOU ANYTHING, it's like you people don't understand..

the man hasn't even had the time to install SC2 people! RELAX!!! effin vultures...

Considering the amount of money I've paid to watch this tournament I'd expect better service.

Man I'm so glad I caught this live. Starting around the 6th hour or so it started to REALLY pick up, with the voice actors live, the Tasteless interview, TLOwnage, and the tournament itself.
Complainers need to chill. This isn't some poorly run tournament thread. The man just put on the greatest ESPORTS show ever, and there's a logical reason why VODs are taking so long.

I can't believe someone would even post something like this.
Learn some maturity. Trying to make people feel guilty for something they have no control over is a childish move.

I just fell asleep during the 4th or 5th hour watching the stream It was a blast from the beginning and I can only imagine how it went on. I'm really looking forward to seeing the VODs, still managing to escape the spoilers (oh thank you Team Liquid.).

Day9 goes through all the effort to organize 12 hours of awesome entertainment and people are complaining because it's taking him a few days (or heaven forbid a week!) to get the content uploaded? Really? Stop acting so entitled. Go play SC2 or something for a few days, the VODs will certainly be up eventually.

He has 700GB of raw uncompressed video data. Once it's encoded in WMV or x264 it will be much, much smaller. The encoding process will probably take more time than the upload itself.

I managed to go 2 days before running into a spoiler for the results of this. Too bad. T_T

Anyways ZOMG WTF AT 700GB of raw data >.> First thing I recommend to day9 is install sc2 !!!! :D That way while you're uploading video's you can do some new videos in replay mode ^^ This way we get to see more videos of day9 :D
But take it easy take a sisi :D I have patience in almighty day9 and will wait in patience seeing some others can't ..

2 vids are up on blip \o/ no matches yet tho it seems

Just treat it like christmas. Its going to take a while to get there, but once it does you'll be glad having waited.

Anyone know at which hour they showed the game between Huk and someone else where he pulled off some amazing Warp Prism micro with Immortal drops and stuff? I really want to watch that and then the games of the KoTB tournament.
