In the interview with Artosis, he also said TLO is ''not a good Terran''.
But then, you have to be Korean to even stand a chance in that regard I bet IdrA would call TLO's win over Tester cheesy.
|
I've defended Idra in the past, but something about the way he is always friendly to the right people, i.e. Koreans he depends on for his career, and unfriendly towards us-little-people really annoys me and makes me root for TLO even if that means no zerg advances to the semi-finals.
|
I've been following the dailies for awhile and was really excited for this tourny... yet for some reasons a couple days ago blip.tv stopped working for me. Quite unfortunate.

Idra: "tlo vs cauthonluck would be like watching two monkeys flinging shit at each other until one hits the others eyes"
Oh how i love him...hasent gotten enough love and attention from his parents and in real-life obviously a noone and sc is his virtual playground and opportunity where hes trying to compensate his faintness. must be a very poor guy.
|
These is so much IdrA hate going on right now so it makes me love him even more :D
For the record I love TLO too so these games are going to be hard to watch
|
I cheer for TLO, long games ftw!
|
I kind of hope IdrA will win for being a Zerg, but he makes it so hard by so much BM

IdrA is a cutie pie. His impotent internet rage never fails to make me happy.

Group A - IntoTheRainbow has clinched his spot Group B - Tester has clinched his spot
Group A is a fight for 2nd place between White-Ra and qxc and it could end in a tie if qxc wins 1 game and loses 2 tonight.
Group B also has the deciding game tonight because who ever wins between Idra and TLO tonight decides who goes on in Group B tonight. There is no chance for a tie if wins/loses factor in.
**edit note*** think of it like Football/Soccer with Goals for and against only wins/loses
Let me know if that looks wrong.

Dimaga series played is wrong.
I dont think (hope) the progressing players will be decided like that, maybe only winning/losing series will be relevant. That way, there might be a 3-way draw, resulting in 3 more matches. I guess that would be a little crazy though.
Also, note that Dimaga beat WhiteRa. Would seem strange for WhiteRa to advance in case of a tie, just because of the games in the other series?

Yea, typo. It should be 3 played. - Fixed
Also, yes it's funky but that's how alot of round robins work. I believe it's the same format as the World Cup.

The World Cup uses a point system which takes into account stuff like total goals scored, goals attempted, goals scored on, etc...
Still, amazing tourney so far and it'd be kinda funny/prophetic (?) if IntoTheRainbow and Tester win first and second (not necessarily in that order)

Tester has 2 losses 1 to Huk, and the other to TLO
I'm not sure how many wins Huk has but you have him under 2 wins, which could be 3 if you missed the one vs Tester.
|
I believe tester was 2-0 against huk (that is all that was broadcasted) I thought they played a 3rd game unreleated to the tourney.

one of many others. deal with it.im not a tlo fanboy at all but i like nice mannered players who are able to write 2 g´s and respect their opponents the whole time. if you wouldnt be an american im pretty sure you wouldnt cheer for him because the list of great and nice players is too long. and by the way it wasnt me who started quoting some idra-crap

No, Day9 confirmed in his cast yesterday that there was a missing match he accidentally left out, and even after saying this, he forgot to cast it again. He should be casting it today or sometime soon.

Idra has his opinions, whatever cool, but i honestly think that TLO is getting better. Picking Terran, sticking with it, i feel like the random days were his "test" period that he was just skimming the surface of his skill on all 3 races. Now that he has just 1 race, he's gonna be great.
He may say his win over tester was a cheesy (insert insult word) way to play. But he played terran like sc1, take positions seige up, inch foward, hit spots that are vulnerable, ball up, and push.
Idra used to play terran, he did the same stuff... If he loses to a great helion harass he'd call it a cheesy win etc etc. But he used to vulture harass, and if he did a great job, he would consider it "skilled micro".

IdrA is obviously very BM but it just makes him more of a character. In my eyes he is allowed to be rude when he is as hilarious as that quote (it almost floored me). And you have to admire his solid macro play- he's the smoothest foreigner out there.
Would I want to meet him in real life? No. Should everyone act like him? No. Do I think he is great to watch, and has utterly hilarious rants? Yes. If he weren't so good or so right, people wouldn't pay attention to him, but there is (some) truth in every BM thing he says.
The SC community is pretty prudish (probably a Korean influence) and IdrA is a breath of fresh (and/or hot) air, on occasion. He reminds me of the good old wild days of the internet, where people were as likely to cuss you out as they were to say gg. I'm probably a little biased since I came up in the slightly more testosterone-fueled FPS scene.
All the hate he elicits just makes me laugh more.

IdrA's a fairly good player but you need to take basically everything he says with a massive grain of salt. He's prone to whining and BM'ing quite a bit and is very biased.
