I assume this is something to do with the new Blizzard/GomTV deal?
I'm not sure if that takes effect immediately I know ogn/mbc have until august to come to an agreement with gomTV, but I dont think beta casting is currently affected by this (could be wrong)
edit - nvm, i think you're referring to blizzard immediately beginning to broadcast games with gomtv? (which conflicts with the korean gamers' scheduling i assume)

It seems kinda coincidental that on the day Blizzard announces an agreement with GomTV, an SC2 tournament is postponed at the last minute so the players can take part in a "Blizzard official SC2 show."

are you trying to say that blizz did it to deliberately postpone this tournament? if so, that makes no sense at all. as for holding an official event of their own after completing a huge deal, that's a pretty good idea.

No, of course not. I was just reiterating my assumption.
The contents of the OP are very well organized with spoiler tags and dummy links to extra games.. only problem is the broadcast announcement which lists the semi-final matchups
Surely it was Check's own decision that the televised event was the more important of the two?

That's a fair point. :p
I've been revealing the matchups like that on the day each new round was due to start, so people would have a clear idea of what is coming up. Maybe that's too quick though. :o
the whole pricemoney is something like 30 000 yuan afaik -> 3500 euros. but we will see when beta ends. 17173.com wanted to make the tourney with TV sponsoring, but blizzard did not allow to make too much commercials, so the tourney will stand on the hosts pocket.

I think 17173 really wants to hire you,Bane. lol
