That was a really great Tournament big thx to 17173.com :>. For not only hosting these great games but also allowing foreign casters(forsti and gg.ru) to participate !

Ps: Europe 2nd place nice ! Imo a great result I hope we will be able to keep this up

Pps: Dimaga you should change your isp / or check the wires in your building =) I hope you dont use a wireless connection.
Fruitseller: I feel like it's a good strategy[6Pool]. I had a lot of strategies, but I thought about it a lot and decided to 6 pool. Other people told me to 6 pool too

Getting your build scouted isnt nearly as bad as your opponent knowing that you are about to play that build.

what good is knowing that if u cant make adjustmenets?

He can make some minor adjustments and he can mentally prepare for the incoming zerglings.

I rooted for Dimaga for the entire tourney but that instant dc right upon seeing the zerglings was just pure cheating in my opinion. I really hated that move, he should've just tried to fend it off as good as possible and if Cool won, then he deserves the title. What f*cking bad sportmanship.

Yeah yeah, he had some connection problems before but those don't say anything at all, he could've prepared for his "joker-disconnect", of course it can't be proven that it was intentional, but in my opinion it could not have been more obvious.
If it hadn't been the set game, I think the referee would (should!) have given Cool the win.

Dimaga is known for doing shady stuff to improve his results and that d/c was just ... blerghh.

Dimaga didn't dc because of the 7 pool, he might have been able to survive with his drones, he pulled the plug because he accidentaly canceled his spawning pool which makes me hate him, anyone can make a mistake just say gg and take it. However Dimaga decided to dc and be a jerk, I wanted him to win so europe could win the chinese tourny however the moment he DCed and basicaly cheated because he made a mistake he became the biggest loser and most despised player in sc2.

he didnt cancel spawning pool wtf? your posts in this thread have been so retarded, how are you not banned yet.

idra is right also, 6pool loses to that 16pool dimaga did on desert oasis.

not only that but I've been practicing tons with dimaga for these games and he was having lag/drop issues, he dropped twice in a short time during our practice the day before this match, and several other times as well in earlier days. if you watched the vods you can see he's lagging, even in that game he pulls up the drop box for a bit just after it starts

also he offered to regame the same exact builds for both players to continue (as there was nothing except simple build orders up until his d/c), but Cool declined

people who have no fucking clue need to shut the fuck up before they make accusations

another note is that yes indeed fast pools especially on 2 player maps are not some dumb cheese build but a totally valid and strong strategy especially in a Best of X series (referring to someone complaining about Cool's 6 or so pool on Steppes)

To close this discussion now, here are somefacts:
1) at 0:16 and 0:30 cool cancels his 7th drone to throw down a 6pool at 0:45 - whyever he canceled the drones in the first place
2) dimaga wanted to play a 16 hatch
3) at 2:15 he saw zerglings popping from tree eggs, 1 drone was on her way
4) at 2:19 he builds a 16 pool, with 100 "overmins", so its 10 seconds later than a normal 16 pool, cool builds more lings
5) at 2:23 DIMAGA dropped from the game (and thats why his pool canceled in that moment, not other way round)
6) tourney management decides to rehost and go on
7) DIMAGA asks to play a 16 pool again, cool doesnt want to play the same way. <- okay, NOW the disc game is out of discussion. btw cool was not pissed about the rematch. he never complained about it, just stated, that he thought he won 100%

-> its done. no further discussion needed. all decisions made. noone was harmed. cool won the series as he deserves, because most games proved that cool was ahead in the mindgame. no need to point fingers at dimaga. i know his connection is even worse than mine, i know he is an awesome player and we all know he deserved to finish second place in this tournament.

Plus, just the fact that he wanted to replay the same way pretty much seals the deal. Props to Dimaga, awesome games. Plus, good job Zelniq practicing with him

Awesome tournament, awesome stream and commentating forsti. This was a blast to watch.

I liked how the Altitude Invitational was handled. 4 players, tournament starts and ends in one day. Day and Chill casting. Great stuff.

I guess Cool has to be considered the best player in the world right now given his victories in PlayXP Brainbox, PGR 21 and now the World Cup (which was by far the most stacked tournament of the beta).

It's funny because there was a replay pack of his uploaded a few weeks ago and most of the comments on here were about how bad he was and how far the Koreans were behind Euro/US in SC2.

Oh yes in the qualifiers! I refered to the actual tournament bracket starting at the round of 16 and there were none
I guess you found ONE game from a random player actually played terran vs a protoss but I dont count TLO in there since he actually played zerg in the other games against that opponent.
