Hey guys!
I'm the person responsible for the tournament section over at liquipedia, and my goal is to include all bigger events that's running and might be coming up. Now I have a small problem, I'm currently very busy at school (and the beta ofc) so I don't have the free hours to go trought 10+ websites every day just to see if they're hosting everything.
Here's where I could use some help from the community, if you find a new tournament that isnt on the http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Portal:Leagues page on the wiki please post it in this thread. Just a link will do. I do have requirements when it comes to adding new tournaments, the tournament must: a) Have a prizepool (size does not matter) or b) Have 5+ notable players in it (this is really a matter of judgement on both your part and mine, but add it and I will have a look!)
So if you find a tournament and cant find it on liquipedia, please post it here and I'll get it up asap.
Thank you Julmust - LP Tournament Junkie

Portal:Leagues
Great idea, it gets hard to keep up with all the tourneys that are being covered and so some go un-updated.

Can the ITL be put in despite not having a prize pool?
We will be having one soon and i'd hate to see the earlier events lost in time lol!
|

Thanks!

So can I put the ITL in than?
I have done quite a bit of work on Liquipedia I so my work can be refrenced (user: Diamondback2)

Where should I put it?
The ITL really does not fit in any of those categories...

Shouldn't ITC go under Weeklies? ITL is an actual league as opposed to a weekly tournament, complete with show matches and everything.
I suggest you add a new tab labeled "Real Leagues" and add ITL there.

Lol I agree with Tofu here . Can the ITL have it's own section? We will be putting so many cards on it seems the best logical choice.
The ITC could just be under tournaments, but the ITL is sort of unique...

well we've been putting off actually creating a leagues portal, but create the page and paste the link to it here and I'll see what I can do. sounds good?

Dont feel any pressure from my side, take your time and make it good the first time. that's what I've learned from LP.

I believe the HDH prize money is more than that?
|
I haven't touched the HDH page actually, I'm not personally following the tournament but I'll investigate it. The topic isn't updated and the prizemoney is actually higher on the wikipage compared to the topic. I'll try writing something in it and hope someone replies since I don't have any way to communicate with HD or Husky

I didn't think I should make a thread for this, but why hasn't there been any team tournaments yet? 2v2 or 3v3 even. Are there any really hardcore 2v2 only/mostly players who have some really strong strategies?
I'd really like to see that.

After watching the stream Gretorp mentioned there was no public tourneys wish I found quite astonishing. As I am not that good but enjoy watching SC2 more than life itself I mentioned I would sponsor one with a 500$ first place prize but no one seemed to think I was serious. Well I am! All I ask for is front row seats on the action and if someone from TL wants to run it since I have NO CLUE on how to go about this I'll happily foot the bill and hell you can even slap on whatever ads of your choice for doing the leg work. All I know is that the 500$ would be enjoyed by all much more than strippers that would entertain for like 1 hour, this way I get a real bang for the buck! Any insight please let me know.

Wait, just to clarify... We just had a tournament at SC2Armory.com... Prize pool was $10. Players ranged from Gold to Diamond... No notable players (unless I'm famous and don't know it yet.)
Should I have linked that here?

Yo Julmust, I want to have a tournament at a lan center in San Luis Obispo, Ca. They have a great setup there with 12 very nice computers, a little conference room with a big screen for live casting. 2 spectator viewing screens and a willing owner.
Setup: 25 dollar entry fee, and 15 dollar spectating fee.
with a best of 3 online qualifier to determine the top 16.
1000 dollar prize pool
There arent any pro gaming booths, but there are curtained areas away from the crowd and we can setup cameras to get some live action footage.
I can handle everything locally with the lan center but I need help contacting notable players and casters. I also need help determining a good time to hold the tournament.
I was hoping for sometime in September after the SoCal LAN tourny.
Thanks!
BSB

Hey guys,
thanks for you work first of all!
I would like you to consider adding the Competo-Arena Cup as weekly tournament for EU-Servers. This Cup is very young, compared to others but very ambitious and trustworthy. Players like Goody, Socke, Nightend and others already participated in it.
Here´s the link: http://sc2.competo-cup.de/en/cups/?id=21

Hi I am currently organising a brand new weekly event called NGVZone weekly cup. Our website is http://NGVZone.net.
I have submitted a request to be posted on the TL calender, I was told to PM brood which has been done. It was advised to create a thread / liquipedia page for my tournament and this is what I am trying to do
I dunno if what I am saying is the place for it to be said, but here I am.
Thank you

B: Basically just community members right now, anyone's invited from Bronze to Masters, we do not discriminate.
If I read the post wrong I'm sorry, first time on here, love the streams and can't get enough of them.
