UPDATE: Brackets
WCG Canada is hosting a test run LAN for SC2 this year to see how much interest it has. You can sign up at http://wcg2010.lanets.ca and it has roughly ~$1000 dollars in prizes but no trip to WCG since SC2 is not a part of WCG this year (hence the "test run").
General Information- Date: September 3, 2010 - September 5, 2010
- Time: 6:00 PM on Friday - 5:00 PM on Sunday
- Location: Pavilion A, École de technologie supérieure, Montréal
- Entry Fee: $45 *
- Maximum Entrants: 400
- Dorm rooms, showers, electrical outlets, and Ethernet cables are provided for the full 3 days.
*NOTE: This is the entry fee into the building which gives you access to participate in any and all tournaments. The majority of the money goes towards teh games that are actually included in WCG 2010.

Extra Information
Depending on how well the SC2 portion of WCG Canada goes, I can guarentee that as long as WCG includes SC2 as one of the games in 2011 that Canada will be sending in 1 or 2 players to go participate in the finals at China.

Amazing to see WCG back for Canada. Hopefully there is enough people who can go to Montreal for that event so they host provincial qualifiers in the future.
|

|
someone plz ask WCG to delay this a few days? I'm out of the country until the 5th, FML.

god, I wish Testie played SC2.

wait...what?
45$ entry fee, 400 max participants... but roughly 1000$ in prizes? where is the rest of the money going if no one is sent out? -____-
45x400 = 18 000$ and yet 1000$ in prizes? seriously?
organizing an event like this doesn't cost 17 000$
|
apparently Grrr is back! :D

organizing an event like this doesn't cost 17 000$ $45 is entry fee into the entire place, which means you can participate in all tournaments if you wish. The money goes towards other games as well, they just put off $1000 for a test SC2 run.
