The Starcraft 2 Team League (SC2TL) is a weekly tournament run by Inflow Gaming. We hope to encourage more competition between various teams and groups in Starcraft 2 as well as have a damn good time while doing so. As the tournaments progress week by week, teams that place well consistently will begin being seeded. Statistics such as which players are doing the best and the results of each week will also be published. We also plan on releasing replay packs of all the games each week.

The format for the tournament is simple and the same as the Triple Strike Cup tournaments run earlier in the first phase of Beta by Dacthehork. Rather than it being a standard 1v1 tournament like so many other SC2 tournaments, it will be based around teams of three(3) people. Each person on the team will have a life. If you lose a game, you lose your life for that round. If all the members of a team lose their lives, then that team is knocked out of the tournament. If a player wins a game, then that player must play in the next game. One player from each team will be required to be a “starter” for the team and be the first player sent to play each round. This format can lead to exciting rounds where a team’s starter could “all kill” the other team or a team’s last hope could “reverse all kill” the other team.

The first tournament is scheduled for August 7th at 3 PM Est. We hope to avoid any initial problems Bnet might have. As it is a team format, the rounds do last longer and take time. Expect the event to take some time and plan accordingly please.

All 32 teams and their players will be placed here. There will most likely only be 16 teams allowed for the first tournament unless there is a large interest to extend it to 32. We ask that you only send 2 teams per clan or organization so all groups get a chance to compete.

If you have a larger team and are unsure of which three will be able to play each week, then you are welcome to sign up a larger roster, but we will need to know which three are playing atleast 24 hours in advance.
As Bnet is not up, you cannot leave your character code obviously. If you and your team sign up before the game launches, please PM me either your email or your character code at least 24 hours before the tournament begins. If we do not have contact information for your entire team, none of your team plays.
The event is open to all players; however, we will reserve spots for more skilled/known teams.
If you are looking for a team you can post once with your information saying you are, but please don’t spam the thread with conversation about finding a team and take it to PM’s if you can.

1) All players are to play the same race (Protoss, Terran, Zerg, or Random) throughout the tournament.
2) All games will happen on the NA server. Sorry rest of the world.
3) All results in between rounds are to be reported to Alou (Or another designated person if for some reason I am unavailable). Please report both which team won as well as the individual results of each game.
4) All replays need to be sent to my email (Email will be placed here during the tournament). A replay pack of all the games will hopefully be released within 24 hours of the event. If you do not send your replays, you will not be allowed in future events.
5) If a disconnection occurs, players are to restart the match unless it was obvious one player was going to win. If there is a dispute, contact me or one of the other tournament organizers.
6) All teams must keep the same players throughout the tournament. Substitutions can happen up until the tournament starts, but once the tournament begins all 3 players must play or you will have to be disqualified or play 1 person down.
7) Any streamers are allowed to observe any game if they are being recognized by me as someone streaming the event.
8) For any non-streamed games, observers outside of the teams themselves are allowed if BOTH teams agree. For any games being streamed, I’d prefer only the streamers and team members be allowed to watch as it hopefully leaves enough room in the lobbies for everyone.
9) Any disputes or questions can be posted or PM’ed to me.
10) My decision on all decisions has been decided to be decisively final.

Any streamers interested in commentating the tournament can post here or PM me. Please post your stream name and link so I can put it in the initial post when the event starts. All streamers of all levels are welcome and encouraged. If you give anybody problems such as verbal abuse, lagging, or consistent holding up of game lobbies, then you will be asked to not stream the tournament. Be respectful of other casters and realize that the lobbies will probably be filled on some games. I encourage you guys to split yourselves up and cover different parts of the tournament.
