I'm not saying I completely hate this tournament now. It's still awesome. Mega awesome. Surprisingly awesome. As I said before, I feel totally lucky to be able to play in a tournament like this. I just had to have a word about how brackets are made =]

While the way the brackets were set up definitely upsets some, no matter which way we did it people would be upset. For example, doing it the 'standard' way might result in WhiteRa vs IdrA in the round of 16. That doesn't seem very fair. And as of right now there is no accurate way to decide skill level (#1 vs #16, #2 vs #15, etc) since we cant have qualifying rounds. Just going off of a third party site where people aren't playing on the same servers wasn't really an option. We respect the players and don't want to step on anyone's toes, but at the same time we want to be able to secure enough hype to have this not be our only huge event ![]()

Considering that GameStop was promoted in the vid, and iNcontrol works there, I would think they'd have let you film in the store. In the back room, if nothing else. Regardless, might I suggest buying/rigging a wind shield for your camera mic? This is our 'trial' run and it is a pretty big learning experience for us. A beta tourney for a beta game seems pretty appropriate. ![]()

They should get a camera crew like Mr. Guetta and Kid Cudi have: http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/980/kidcudib.jpg Also, Husky kind of looks like David Guetta.. haha. maybe just the hair...

I can't believe how similar his life is to mine haha... except I went the CS-War3-WoW route. Anyway, best of luck for them all...

Actually the chance of that happening is the only thing that would have been fair. I really don't understand why people mistake bad luck with being unfair. The only way, given the lack of proper power rankings, for completely fair tournament brackets would have been by pure random chance. Random chance is inherently fair to everyone involved. Especially in a case where the tournament organizer is trying to justify his/their decision to introduce unfairness into the way the tournament brackets are created, by explaining how an inherently fair system would somehow have been less fair than subjectively picking the matchups that should provide most viewer interest. Not that I am disagreeing with the decision. Just the justification for it. It is going to be an amazing tournament, and I will be watching it in any case.
