So I have been playing against the VH A.I trying to get a quick ghost /w increased energy into 2 Medivac Maruader drop against Protoss. The main idea behind the drop is to snipe to Nexus or any higher tech buildings I can grap without loosing large amounts of units in the drop.
Right now I have been able to cut the Marauder drop timing to about 12-13 min. My overall question is, is this cost efficient in the long run? By 7-8 min most Toss I play have their Natural up and are saturating it but my thought was that sniping their Nexus or any important Tech structures they have up will set them back giving me a considerable lead.
What do you guys think about it?

I mean this constructively: your post is a bit too speculative and lacking in details.
Replays as well as more effort on your part as to what this works against and what is does not work against would be helpful. Fill in the blanks for us and provide replays against ladder opponents.
Are you dropping the ghosts with the marauders? Are you expanding? If you don't expand, I would argue that this is too much tech to trade for a nexus or a toss tech building--ghosts and medivacs require tech investments in different directions and all the units you are focused on require gas. If you don't work an expansion into this, you'd have to do more than snipe some buildings--you'd have to cripple an expanding toss to make this worth it imo. Doesn't this amount of teching leave you with a relatively small army? How are you reacting to 1-base toss play?

Don't create a build vs the ai. A build is useless if it's not designed to take down human players.
I don't see this working past gold league...

you can have ghosts and marauders at 10mins easy but why ghosts? ghosts are great but generally speaking quick teching to anything does usually mean a make or break situation. if you do not do heavy damage (this is totally possible because this drop isnt in any way shape or form super powerful) then you most likely will lose
i would just stick to standard medivac timings of 10mins and attempt to poke front and drop back. 2 base drop play SHOULDNT work tho it does work sometimes obviously

Replay of this being used on LADDER?

He's trying to practice and improve by having a clear gameplan in a matchup. In the lower leagues, a strategy you know the ins and outs of and can execute cleanly will give you much higher success than if you "macro better". It's better to learn the hell out of 3 build orders (one per matchup), and use those to improve your core mechanics. SCVs, Supply Depots, Keep your Money Low, Scout, Pay attention to the minimap.
That said, what is your transition after the drop? Does this help you set up an expand, or buy time to amass a large bioball?

No replay makes a broad unspecific build even worse, least of all against an ai..
