They are really good with Marine Tank. you can't really clump them though, banelings murder them clumped.

Feels okay against Zerg but in TvT (if you play bio) and TvP they just feel to clumsly and slow you down by a lot.

This sounds good? What about having 2 rax, will it delay a lot or will it be good? Gas first proxy marauder is really bad. 2 rax might be slightly viable tvp low level but awful tvt. Thank you KawaiiRice! So....1 rax is ideal, and rax first, not gas first. Other than that, is my BO ok? Yeah but you should be pressuring asap and trying to get a bunker down somewhere useful. In TvP try to get a bunker shooting their gateway or something critical. In TvT it's kind of weird, bunkers in their base are hard to get up but a bunker to deny them from getting down the main ramp is the most useful if they were trying to 1rax FE.

The same time you have enough money to start your 2nd and 3rd factories. This time will vary depending on how many hellions and banshees you make.

How do u deal with ultras late game when ur going mech ? + should u have tanks unsieged against them ?

What i've done is just classic 12 rax/13 gas reactor hellion opening and i add 2 raxes while the factory and reactor are building -> make 2 techlabs -> attack with 4-6 hellions, 2-4 marauders, 2-4 marines while reinforcing.
Has something similar been done at pro level? Starting from a gas first Reactor Hellion + proxy Starport to drop 4 Hellions there is one recent instance of a SCVs/Hellions/Marauders all-in: GuMiho vs ByuN, Akilon Flats, Code A RO24. The Barracks was used to build the Reactor then moved forward (beyond the natural) to make Marauders.

Thank you for the references Dwf, couldnt find the replays/VODs of some games though, like the Yoda vs Hyun game. I find it disturbing that so many Terrans lose though Can't be helped I guess, it's hard to kill Zerg because of that huge creep buffer provided Zergs play properly. Otherwise I can outright kill most Master/High Diamond Zergs if their creep spread is shat at 15:00

I haven't played SC2 for months and with HOTS I am maybe thinking of playing some multiplayer with Terran race. Is Mech viable in HOTS? I want to mech in all three matchups.

Against protoss early rushes (MS core 4g blink stalker), counter drops (TvT), not as useful against zerg due to cheap zergling suicides, and roach being generally too tanky for 1-2 to have much affect early on, however if opponent is unaware a widowmine can sometimes work as strong as a baneling on steroids against masslings. Anyways, mines are generally ridiculously strong when used aggressively against all three races with the dropship combo - forcing scans + guarantee kill, sniping expensive protoss units, or the risk zerg has to take just to take down widow mines - waste many apm being especially careful with a very vulnerable overseer and whatever units you need to kill the mine with.
Its just such a flow upsetter for the opponent
Regarding BO - too early to ask, only been 24 hours since release from the first region, plus too general of a question - if you are just opening widowmine expand 1 gas is enough. You can even fit reapers in with one gas only. Very, very cheap units. Build time is slightly longer than expected however.

I'm just starting to play terran after switching from protoss in WoL (gold). I'm a little confused as to when/ where to make add-ons, say for a basic marine/tank/medivac composition. Off of a 1 Rax FE, I usually build a tech lab on my first rax for stim, reactor on second rax, and reactor on factory while starport is building (to switch to starport after completion). Is this right?

1) In TvZ how do you hold of those early roach pushes with the std reactor hellion into banshee build? I mean, I can somehow hold it off with a bunker, first rauder and first banshee but he denies mining for very long, my hellions are quite useless and get killed anyway and since I keep building marauders, holding his following mutas is quite tough. But I don't see any other way instead of overreacting to his gas. I can't scout whether or not he goes for speed, roaches and/or banelings and I don't even have enough units for a 2nd bunker unless I completely switch my build.
2) Any replay or VOD of someone holding off the 3gate/immo allin? To me this appears unholdable, especially on daybreak or ohana...

Check out Day[9]s daily he did on Polts HotS opener vs Z, thats pretty widow mine centric and looks really solid.

With a proxy reaper opening against Z or P what are my objectives
how do I make that 1 proxy rax worth it I mean.
My micro is alright but my multitask can slip if it gets kind of intense. Should I just not even bother with it if I'm not great at multitasking?
