Yes, this is correct, but you could always do that with 2 SCVs on auto-repair :3 But yeah, you could do it with just sending 1 in as it stands right now.

What if I:
hold down shift + move-click a marine into a bunker + while still holding shift + attack and click on the marine itself.

would the marine go into the bunker and shoot itself?

Edited to say something relevent: I think it is a bug and should be fixed. SCV shouldn't under any circumstances be able to repair itself.
Terran was created third, with purity of tanks.

I'm a straight zerg player. This is terrible.

On the other hand, every other worker unit can fix itself without outside help. So maybe it isn't so OP. (Unlike marine DPS. :D)

There isn't a single way that Blizzard intended for this too happen whatsoever.

I'll give you that Blizzard liked the idea of filling up another slot in the drop ship with an SCV to repair mechanical things. This makes sense. HOWEVER, a SCV repairing ITSELF, that's ludicrous. The only thing this effects is bunker rushing, which I suppose is now a staple of TvZ; however, I don't think they should make it any harder on a Zerg to shut down bunker rushing and halting the meta game where it is now by making the longevity of each SCV increase by allowing them to heal themselves (and thus go on to make more salvageable bunkers)

All in all: it's a great find for 1.3, but I hope we find it's gone next patch.

Seems like a bug, do hope they fix this. Early game it can make the bunker rush even more dangerous.

The SCV can repair _itself_, by being in the bunker on auto-repair.

That it can repair other units in the medivac seems a little more reasonable/logical and seems to be intentional.

This makes perfect sense. Inside the bunker, the SCV can take his clothes off without shame and repair its parts in peace.

The only thing they should change is that it should be able to repair to maximum 40/45, because it can't repair the repairing hand.

intresting with the scv repairing within a medivac, glad it couldn't be abused with a thor But I'm thinking 2 scv's with 3 helions in a medivact could be quite sick for worker harras just upload from main when hurt fly to natural and woola 3 fully healed helions for another round of harrasing.

it also makes no sense that medivacs cant be repaired from the inside

but this bunker trick sounds so sick :o
