It sure seems to me that way, since when i am playing 3v3 with my friends, our scouting is pretty lackluster some games and in those games i am way off with comps/timings/drone rounds before attacks (upgraded lings vs storms anyone ? :D ) I suppose one may be able to argue for the other races one way or another, but as a race that is designed reactionary, scouting is really freaking important.

There are lots of League specific tourneys that you could start off with to get the feel of it (by league specific I mean they might only accept Bronze-Gold players). Any! I played like 20 TvT's today and every game i encountered different style: 1 siege tank marine rush banshee fast 1:1:1 marine tank viking mech without hellions hellion drops almost never early expanding I feel like there is no way to prevent BO loss agains everything at once, but what is the safest standard TvT build? (can't find anything in recomended threads)

It's definitely true, one base can absolutely support 3 barracks. Maybe they're planning to switch to medivac pressure? And yeah, gas-first usually means before any tech structures (barracks, pool/hatch, or gateway).

I've had success with 3-rax pressure into expand, but if you're dealing with a turtling Terran, I'd recommend expanding, and then putting down bukers and turrets. You can push out when you scan and see a not-so-scary force. Just make sure you're prepared against cloaked banshees (1-1-1 into expand with marines, tanks, medivacs, and a viking for defense should be good enough to hold off most one-base pressures. Diamond league, thanks. What upgrades should i get with 1:1:1 before expanding? Obviously siege, but not sure about marine upgrades.

When I watch games, I see 2 rax pressure with no gas and their minerals seem to stay low. How do they do that with so few buildings producing? This is super noob, but its something that is really bothering me and I have no clue how it works. Also, when a commentator says "he went gas first" does that mean before the rax? Or after? Any explanation would be really great. Thanks. Going 3 rax would be extremely risky play. Say your pressure did minimal damage, you're left in a position where you probably *just* started your CC, and with no tech whatsoever. 2 rax pressure is normally followed with taking a gas (or even 2) or CC so that while you are pressure, you have some follow up to it regardless of how much damage your 2 rax did, that's why their resources are kept low. "Gas first" really is gas first, before Barrack. This is indicative of 2-port Banshee or rush to 2-3 Factories.

If I press enter to talk to my opponent, his name's text will be in red. I'm forced to 6 pool because to hotkeys work (although it did get me the win last game against a proxy 2-gating toss) :D It sounds like or "alt" key is getting stuck-- but this would also change the functionality of your unit health bars, which you would probably notice.

I wish there was a good place to look @ BO's and determine their effectiveness. A lot of what is on Liquipedia is good, but a lot is outdated. Its hard to determine what is and isn't worth using.

Are there any ways to make race switching easier? Just play on the ladder. You'll be back to where you belong in 30 or so games and you'll have 30 losing replays of you to figure out what you're doing wrong. I don't know why people don't like to play better players, you can actually learn quite a lot. I'm always thrilled when I get paired with famous/pro players on the ladder because I know that I'll most likely get my assed kicked and that I'll be able to pin point precise problems with my BO or overall game.
