what do u think the viability of the mothership is? i have experimented a little bit with it in 2v2 and it seems to be very powerful there with a partner since it will cloak his units as well
came back from a very grim game with it, turning the tides so i could win
have not tried it out much in 1v1 at all though, mothership rushing usually makes u very vulnerable so i try to go 4 gate and then progress into mothership / voids
if they have no detection the voids under the mothership cloak will give them time to charge and wreck even if they manage to kill the mothership
and mass recall is very strong as well since u can guard ur base until ur mothership is in position at their base and call them in, only leaving u vulnerable while u are on the attack and with voids u should win any base race
have not used vortex a whole lot, but i think it is a very much under-used unit and would like to perfect a build that can be viable in competitive 1v1

Mothership rush owns most T builds if you hide it well and micro well. Just make sure they aren't going fast banshee and you can get a win unless they scout it and get enough AA to take down your mothership fast. You can stop many early rushes by chronoing out a VR and stopping your mothership tech. Its a lot of the oh shit surprise element. Huk did it in a tourny too i believe. I wouldnt rely on it and its pretty all in considering the cost of the mothership unless you do enough damage with your initial attack.
This is in the 700 diamond range, and i dont do it every game (cant rely on one thing to get better )
That is the only situation i use it in unless its super late game and i have more than enough resources to get one (assuming i already have the stargate) then you might as well, a clutch vortex can own. but thats all situational.
Just my 2cents.
