Besides macro better, etc. What can I do vs this micro wise? I was facing banshees, so I put down a couple cannons, an extra obs, and made stalkers with a few zealots. I was also PUMPING immortals because of the thors I scouted. The terran player had a lesser food army than me when he pushed in.
1- Would that fight have gone better had I not been retarded and went through that choke?
2- Zealots or stalkers vs Thor? Zealots seem to be a better meatshield, but against marauder slow and such they probably wont make it to the thor very quickly, while stalkers will do a constant 14dmg every 1.44 seconds vs thor due to bonus.
3- Immortal range sucks. How can I micro my immortals/army so that they can safely chill in the back and do mass dmg instead of getting picked off? Any guidance on how I could have gotten all my units in on that fight is greatly appreciated.
4- Any other comments regarding the game are appreciated. I scouted basically EVERYTHING, and I still had no idea what to do. I was teching up to templar to feedback the banshees/thor and also be able to storm any other infantry. I had MORE than enough immortals I feel like, but alas, apparently not.
Thanks

Note: didn't watch replay yet.
I also have noticed that immortals actually don't match up very well with Thor/marauders. While the hardened shield implies you should use them as a counter, they really need to outnumber the armored forces of your opponent to make up for the other short comings (less life/shorter range/less dps). Imagine if you were fighting a PvP and you both field immortal/stalkers (loose analog to thor/marauder), whoever has more stuff will win, right?
To your points: 1. Stalkers & Immortals are pretty terrible in chokes. Especially if you just attack move. stalkers are range 6, immortals are range 5, and thors are range 7. The concave you're walking in is gonna huuuuurt. and you said you try to keep your immortals back, they're gonna get stuck and do nothing.
2. zealots are better meat shields. especially if he's fielding marauders too (they'll take less dmg). they need charge to do their job past tier 2 however. You said you were going templars right? I'd value speed over storm against that composition.
3. immortal range does suck. you really can't keep them in the back (stalkers out range them as i said). I actually think of immortals equally as dmg sponges as dmg dealers. So i keep them in front with zealots.
4. Final note about hardened shields: immortals only have 100 shield, which means ten 'armored piercing' shots will empty them. thors shoot twice every 1.28 secs. so they usually hit the immortal 4 times before the immortal even fires back (range differential). add in some marauders and realize that your immortals' shields will evaporate fast.
