For those wondering what we are talking about: Every month we are asking the people of the map cave (skype group with 50+ mapmakers from this community) to pick their favorite maps from a list of all submissions. The maps with the most supporters are eventually being voted on. If anyone thinks they need to be in this skype group, pm me (Warning: lots of spam!)

Skype does offer the option to disable chat notifications though, so don't let the spam keep you away.

Blades Edge is pretty much the only design I'd probably care to play, so it gets my vote. Moonlight Madness wins on aesthetics, but the design itself is a Terran-favoured nightmare.

I have to admit, TL has a really awesome map making community ! I'd love to see any of those on the ladder ! Good job !

Curious, I haven't followed motm. What are the criteria for a map to be entered? Does it have to be made completely during the month?

The map thread has to be created on TL within a certain timeframe, which is between the 25th of the previous and the current month.

Countdown should have been a finalist, I am disappoint. Regardless, these are all very good maps - I'm having a hard time deciding between the awesome concept of August Flood or the awesome execution of Blades Edge.
