As a zerg player in sc2, I like the semi-safe 6m1g natural; a defensible location for a 3rd hatch is always a nice production boost, especially if it can generate income.

Protoss would enjoy a location for a 3rd defended by their normal wall-in with a small extension of a pylon,gateway, cannon, and sentry to wall off any frisky lings, while Terrans get an obvious place to land their 3rd CC (and all of their mules) by defending a location that should be watched for blink-all-ins anyway.

The northwest and southeast "runaround" area of the map feel a little barren. . . I assume since the map isn't published this is intentional. Looks great as it is so far; I'm not good enough to give further balance assumptions though.

Pretty agressive map, lots of people would probably dislike it, but the map pool is really lacking such a map for variety

Pretty map. God this month there have been a lot of great maps. Such a good time to be a mapmaker.

I like it a lot, but i have to ask, did you consider making the middle high ground instead of low?

I agree. Seeing the forums flooded with great maps is really motivating.

I did consider that, and actually started off with it being high ground, but ultimately decided to lower it due to being a, in my opinion, too strong position to hold.

On a different note, Vicinity is now published on NA/EU. Aesthetic shots found in the original post were also updated.

It's probably due to the revival of MotM, that's certainly motivated me to finish maps the past couple of months, otherwise I just make wips and don't publish anything...
