Hello!
I'd like to show you guys what I have been working on for quite some time together with a friend! It's an 8 player map and was originally intended to be an FFA map but you can also play teamgames on it (2v2, 2v2v2v2, 4v4).
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/LmKI3qF.jpg) Sry for the angle. If I zoom out for 90° picture then the fog disappears. Looks pretty ugly without.

The map offers some features:
PERMANENT FEATURES
Xel'naga Healing Shrine: The center of this map provides healing for every unit that enters the shrine.
Observing Mode: If you think you lost you can still stay as an observer by clicking the "Spectate Mode"-button in the menu! Resources of each remaing player will be displayed and you get whole vision of the map.
Super Xel'naga Tower: The 4 SXNTs give you extra high ranged vision to compensate the large map size.
OPTIONAL FEATURES Kill Reward: When you kill an enemy player unit you will get a certain percentage of its mineral and gas costs. You can choose between 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%!
Items: 2 types of items will spawn on the map. You can set the type and spawn rate. Attribute Items (buffing armor, attack, health, speed or attackspeed) Resource Items (Gas and Minerals)
Nuclear Catastrophy: Nukes will come down randomly. You will have to spot the red dots :D
Earthquake: If Earthquake happens you have to leave the grassy ground on the map. Damage will be dealt to units that still remain there.
Entomb: Blizzard removed Entomb. We brought it back :D Have an eye on your mineral lines!
Creep Mayhem: Random creeps will spawn on the map via Nydus or drop pods and attack you!
For now Ozone will have those features. I might add some new ones or change the current ones. Huge thx to Knalle! He helped me alot with the map. Especially with the triggers!
You can find Ozone in Arcade if u search for "Ozone". It's called "FFA - Ozone".
Uploaded on EU and NA! If you encounter any bugs or other errors pls let me know :D
Hope u guys enjoy the map

The map looks super clean and well laid out. The features sound like a ton of fun. This is really cool!

Looks really cool, would defiantly keep this in mind for some cloudy day.

Wow, this is really impressive! Everything appears so nicely executed. Map looks great, features look great, really want to try it out!

Very nice work, looks like a lot of fun for some FFA or 2v2v2v2 action. The layout looks fun and versatile. The aesthetics are nicely done, which you almost never see on a map with triggers. Too big for 2v2 or 4v4 though.

Remember for map images you can always do Data->Export Map Image and then convert it to jpg or something.
I think it'd be fine for a 2v2 map, we don't really see enough expanding in those games.
|
I agree, I'd love a 2v2 map where you can actually get a 4th base without having won already.
|
Really nice! I'll try it ASAP

Yea I know, but as I said somehow the editor removes the fog if the view is from too far away :/

Looks better than the Blizzard FFA maps. Honestly I wish there were more 5-6 player ffa maps, because without the drive for resources the correct way to play the FFA is just to sit back on defense or until you see an opportunity to strike undefended and retreat before you engage. FFA is all about banking as much resources and expending the least. Also to a lesser extent not pissing people off and making them gang on you.
I would say an ideal 4 player FFA map (as the blizzard FFAs go), is to have 3-4 bases to each player and then another 3-4 bases they must fight over. Any more or less is bad.
edit- sorry didn't read all the UMS options you added in. Interesting, but I still don't like the layout. Maybe I'll play it with some friends though. Thanks.

I think it'd be better for 2v2v2v2.
