Ok, I updated the Patch notes for Patch 2! Patch should be going up in the near future!
A heads up on what we are focused on for Patch 3:
-Looking to bring more utility and energy tension to Macro Mechanics. -Make Macro Mechanics less snowbally. -Tweak the economy to encourage 4th bases more often. -Continue to revise our changes to make them more in line with Starcraft. -Improve art and visual communication of the game state (Upgrades and abilities being more visible)
Also a note: We are going to be making a website with a wiki. Anyone who is interested in helping us fill it out should PM me.

In general though the gameplay feels a lot quicker and the skill ceiling is a lot higher. The games are more entertaining to play and i felt like there is much more place for multitasking in this game. The thing i liked the most is that protoss isn´t that centered around the sentry anymore.
Can´t wait till it gets tweaked and updated and more balanced over time. Awesome idead, keep rocking!
Thanks for playing Harstem, always happy to have someone from Fnatic play, Grandmaster level games help us smooth out things like poor design and balance. For example, this week, you will not encounter Corruption because it will be removed. :D
Cant wait till the patch goes live, the current implementation of the colosus still has a lot of the same issues as the normal one but the Patched one seems interesting

Dont have twitter. Could you do it for me?
sure thing, did it already ^^ Didnt tell him it was OG related so maby he´ll actually watch it and be pleasantly surprised lol :D
This might feel rushed right now but NOW, at this very moment, where the entire community is going apeshit about the most recent patch, about the inability of Blizz to tackle all those core problems and instead making random useless changes, right now would be the best moment to reach out to your "secret dev team connections" () And be like "look, the community calls for big changes and we agree and here´s what we´ve been working on. We arent finished yet, here´s what we plan on doing in the future, you are welcome to look and take what you need because we are doing this for you and for the entire SC2 community"
Its only one month left till release and if you don´t act now i doubt you´ll get a better oportunity to actually get their atention. I know OG is not finished, the patch is really new and the whole econ patch isnt yet on the horizon but getting etheir atention NOW is crucial because they will need as mutch time as humanly possible to adapt their game.
It might very well be too late now already because from the last 4 patches it seems like thats the Version of HotS that the´ll be releasing onto us and thats the point where i quit SC2 for good and maby go play SC2BW or something completly diferent (probably back to competeive MTG)
I´ve been doing all i can(sharing your work, tweeting, spreading links in the Bnet forum on reddit etc) but i´m noone special so it all goes unnoticed by Blizz. Dont let this one end like FRB, ignored untill it died or became irelevant.
Wtf is Fortify? What is that Viking ability? What are Diamondback stats?
I don't know any of these things because they aren't in the OP. So if I just started following the project, I don't even know what the patch changes are... changing.
An extra question: the BNet forums have a place for balance/design Mods, doesn't it? Why isn't it being used? I know right now it's dead, but maybe using it could, eventually, make people who don't visit Reddit and TL to be aware of OneGoal (and other projects) too?
Congratulations for everything you've done so far!

Hey team,
Loving the new changes and makes me want to play again! As the post above stated make sure the changes are very clear on the front page as well as ensure you list complete changes from Hots. This is critical to keep the success going.
Some changes are slightly controversial like muta morphing to Blord and corrupter and theyre BW ish. That being said I love them but try to stay away from it otherwise it decreases any odds of your changes being adopted. Other changes like the DT new ability just hits the spot.
Just thinking out loud here (errr figuratively anyway) but in the long term would it be possible for any matchmaking type system to be created for Onegoal?
I have real doubts that Blizzard will ever adopt anything from the mod into the standard game (at least before LotV beta) but personally I'd absolutely consider switching entirely to playing Onegoal (when the economic patch/transition to HotS have taken place) were this to be feasible. With a matchmaking system and in HotS (and thus looking as good as the standard game) I could totally imagine a significant portion of the community migrating to Onegoal.. and that might be the only real way that Blizzard could ever be forced to take notice and implement some of the amazing changes the team have worked out.
It may not be technically possible and perhaps it wouldn't snag enough of the community to make it viable.. but I'd love to see it!

I dont think matchmaking would be implementable but perhaps a koth style map? (1v1 taking turns with obs)

Actually Blizzard talked about Custom games eventually being matchmaked. They were talking about implemeting this in the arcade back when Blizzard Allstars was still ment to be a SC2 mod.
Official Blizzard mods like Left 2 die does match you automaticly if you just join(There is no lobby). How much matchmaking there actually is in that i got no idea. Also can't tell you if other mods will ever get to do this.

Hey sorry about that, the main post has been updated to be concurrent with patch 2.
* Hydras felt more fragile when they had lower hp. Being 1 supply I don't think they should be such a tankable unit (they're still weak, but 80hp might be too much with how massable they are).
* Protoss don't have an AoE answer that is cost efficient enough and/or doesn't get countered very easily. Colossus is there, yes. But with hydras being 1 supply, zerg ground armies are now very potent and at the same time leave enough supply room for a substantial amount of Corruptors to be made.
The difference from SC2 is that a maxed zerg army with corruptors now can challenge a maxed Protoss army with colossi. In SC2, if you had corruptors, you wanted to trade as soon as you hit 200 supply or you'd just get rolled in a 200 vs 200 supply battle.
* With the hydra being less supply heavy, zerg can pretty much build enough drones to have 4 mining bases in ZvP. This creates a new dynamic in the ZvP matchup that does not exist in SC2 (past a certain point in the game). The ZvP matchup in OneGoal becomes economically asymmetrical if hydras are used. Zerg caps at 4 mining bases, while protoss still must cap at 3 if they want to have a potent army.
If this new dynamic persists, you will have to make Protoss armies be more cost efficient than zerg armies. Maybe bring back the khaydarian upgrade but instead of making templars start with 75 energy -- make it 67.5 like in BW.
People like(d) storm. They don't like colossi much. ZvP being increasingly about countless storms vs massive zerg onslaughts again might increase the entertainment value of games, since it'd involve more micro and require more constant attentiveness than Colossi battles.
* As for the colossi. I wanted to see it horisontal but with a shorter cooldown, since I felt the aftershock damage was too delayed to cause much problems to competent players. But I understood the reasoning of the vertical lasers once I got them explained to me.
