Made because Grand Line is a kickass map. This is my third SC2 map and I'm getting to figure out the editor finally. It's such a hard tool to work with. I prefer SCMDraft 2. Meh. Also, I had this whole post done and then firefox crashes on me. Now I have to write it all over again.
To play the map, search "Grand Line SE" in custom games. Map is only on US.

Version 1.1 Changes:
- Changed tilset from Xil to Mar Sar
- Fixed entrance cliff at 11's mineral only
- Slightly modified main base edge cliffs
- Added more detailed texturing in areas

Features:
- 4 Players
- Start locations at 7, 11, 1 and 5.
- Gold expansions at 6 and 12
- Map is larger than original to increase size of mains.
- Xel-Naga watch towers at 3:00 and 9:00 on islands.
Comments Port of Grand Line from Brood War. Added gold and Xel Naga watch towers. Previous version didn't have them but didn't feel like enough like SC2 in playtest. The middle ramps are slanted as they are in Brood War. SC2 doesn't have 30 degree or 60 degree ramps so I had to decide between vertical and 45 degree ones. I would've been able to make it slightly more balanced with vertical ramps, but they do not look nearly as good as the diagonal ones.
People have been wondering about reapers in the mains. I don't think the amount of cliff is a problem, but if it does turn out to be big, then I'll add water there or something. I kept the locations of main geysers as they are. I'll probably do that for all other ports. It's a habit from Brood War. Played around with water a bit. Because there's no tar like in Brood War, I made the water less vibrant and more of a dullish colour instead.

looks really good! how much are the mineral patches blocking the side expansions? If it's too little, it doesn't prevent a terran from landing there early because command centers can load and drop SCVs

agreed, that is 1 of the first negative things I noticed. Other then that it looks really good.

Well, it's on the Desert Oasis tileset and if I convert it to the Blistering Sands tileset, then I'll have to rework all the subtleties in the texture and I don't really feel like doing that but if enough people want it then hey, why not.
And yeah, it blocks command centres. Command centres are HUGE in SC2.

You could always do a custom tile set. That would allow you to use one texture to remake those bridges too and your little texture stuff might transfer over better if you pick your order carefully.

Ya the tileset isn't right for grandline though other than that it looks great and very well done.

The port is well done, but I'm pretty sure I'm not alone when people have bad memories from beta Desert Oasis. Funny thing being that I haven't thumbed down a single map when searching for ranked 1v1's but everyone else I've played against has thumbed down Desert oasis so I never get it haha. So yeah understanding that while it is a lot of work it would look a lot better on the blistering sands tileset.

How many minerals are on that mineral block? You can load up scvs and drop them like a dropship now. But of course then you can't fly an orbital command (unless you use a MULE on it)

why is there light blue water above the 11o'clock main when everywhere else it is dark purple.?
