I just finished watching, pretty sad from Cloud. he just continued to mass archons and zealots in the face of ultraling supported by many defilers. I think he should have made more hts, dts, das, and sairs, and just not morphed archons. They do like what.. 3 damage through swarm? He definitely had the resource advantage to take this but lost since he just sat there massing archons rather than teching to air or using a lot of maelstrom/storm combos. Good work from Kaaz, does this guy just go triple upgrades hydraling lurker every game -_-?. I've never really experimented with that kind of style, he makes me want to try it.

I don't think making that 3rd hatch mattered, kaaz's downfall in the early game was his zergling control. At one point he had an opportunity to attack 2 zealots + 1 probe with 8 lings, you should always take that opportunity.

Cloud's play was ok I thought, his main problem was that he took 9 o clock far too late, it would've been very easy for him to kill and secure that expansion, since kaaz would've had to attack through either the bridge choke or the lower choke between the natural expansion and 9 o clock expansion. Also I think Cloud's unit choice is superior to going air, carriers and corsairs are immobile, cost a shitload of resources and usually COST you the game rather than win it in situations like this (See ELIZA(Proteur) v FA on Luna, if FA chose to spend his resources on mixing reavers into his army then he would've won). You see the problem with carriers is they suck on their own, you need to make a lot of sair to defend them, which costs ends up costing far more, and unless you have a critical mass of carriers AND sairs, the zerg can just turtle his half of the map PLUS the 2 mineral only expansions and eventually, if you can't kill the hatcheries (difficult if he just sits there with mass spore, sunken, hydra) then he will win. With reavers they are so cheap and are just as effective against static defense, and also serve as good defense themselves.

Kaaz had near a 100 supply advantage at one point and like the other 90% of the game left just a shitload of units on his half of the centre

very boring rep and nothing special. onesided 40 min macro game.

i thought at the end: ok zeal/arch/rvr vs mainly ling/arch can be interesting, but sadly cloud lost his full shuttle vs some hyds, without any reason to move it into the hyds. (rofl)

Anyway, kinda sad to see pvz turns a bit imba.. don't see many games where ultraling + defillers combination get beaten by toss on land (without some turtle air recources depletion mind control shit game). Mb mass reav or dt + sairs could be the answer, but dt sairs is imho a bit of surprise strat thing, which won't work well if z isn't rushed immediately and have time to prepare for it.. and reav is, well, really hard to execute

more often it turns to turtle too, couse it's too hard to move around with this strat.
Well i hope some Korean gosus, or whoever is willing, turn around with some counter strat, couse i don't wan't to see the funniest mu turning imba. gogo tos ftw!
