The bar is constantly being set higher and higher, so it's only natural that the new schoolers would more likely win... (but i'm voting Nal_rA anyway ;o)

If we're comparing which dominator was the most dominating compared to others in that era... it's gotta be Nada, Oov or Savior. I voted Oov. I thought his era was the scariest, and to this day, he remains one of the most fun villains to cheer against.

iloveoov by far in terms of relative domination
no other player on this list was even close to capable of going on a 27 win streak in any matchup like oov did

I think Iloveoov 2004

that was the most dominant player I've ever seen. It seemed like if the game lasted more than 15min he would win.

06 savior or 04 oov

close one i think, although i missed most of oov's dominance back in the day (just seen stats and accounts and some vods)

Voted for 06 Savior

but a very strong case can be made for 04 oov

01 Boxer is a joke. Boxer was amazing, creative, transcended the game, more than a starcraft player, launched the whole movement, innovative, wonderful, walked on water... but he was never dominant like the rest.

02 Nada is probably third best candidate, after 06 Savior and 04 oov. However, he gets a few points knocked off because of the quirkly play factor.

02 Reach... The whole point of Reach as a player and a star is that he's not dominant. He's dramatic.

03 GoRush. nullified by 03 Nada and 03 July

04 Nal_Ra. Also a wonderful player, but one word: Paradoxxx

05 July. Severely underrated. I honestly think that if he were better looking he'd be as popular as Reach.

Fall Anytime. Sorry, indiv leagues matter.

07 Bisu. Looks unstoppable, no? Considering that it's more difficult now than ever to be across-the-board dominant, he could make this poll moot if he keeps it up for a little longer.

Voted Savior, but I think it's more like:

Oov
Savior
Boxer/Nada.

They were all so ridiculously unbeatable during their primes though so it's hard to choose.

So does that mean you're among the 2% who voted with me for July?

Sounds about right. Actually, spots 2 and 3 might as well be empty since oov's worst matchup in his prime was stronger than both bisu's and savior's best matchup. The battle reports in the tournament forum were incredible, as soon as oov popped out people basically said gg oov 4-0 opponent's team. Despite the numerous superbly written reports by mensrea, the following Waxangel report remains my favorite for pure hilarity:

4Union vs Suma GO
This match was the final matchup of the Losers' Bracket, the winning team going to the grand final, and the losing team getting 3rd place. KTF already got their ticket to the finals, the winner of week's match would go on to face them.

1: Xellos(GO) defeated Kos(4U) on Enter the Dragon
2: Xellos(GO) defeated IntoTheRainbow(4U) on Detonation_Xnote

Looks pretty good for GO, doesn't it?

3: ILoveoov(4U) defeated Xellos(GO) on JR's Memory
4: ILoveoov(4U) defeated ForU(GO, wouldn't it be funny if he was on 4U?) on Parallellines
5: ILoveoov(4U) defeated Nal_rA(GO) on Enter the Dragon
6: ILoveoov(4U) defeated Eros~Rage(GO) on Detonation_Xnote
4Union 4 : 2 GO
During practice session, I discovered very good build against zerg. -Bisu[Shield]

on teamliquid no matter the poll - if boxer is an option he will win. eg
Greatest Zerg of all time?
1) Boxer
2) Savior
3) July
