July vs Rock, close though!

I just love it how ppl come down on boxer 24/7, at his best, in 2001 boxer would've beaten savior aswell as bisu and all the stupid noob players, you guys are just so jealous boxers still in top of his fame after like 6-7 years of fame. learn to live with it noobs, or do it better yourselves.
I hope this is sarcasm.

I chose NaDa over sAviOr. I haven't watched many old school Oov games though so I'll check those out this weekend. NaDa in his prime seemed like the most complete dominator.

I think maps would play a factor in this as well considering if we're talking about a time machine tournament we might play maps from back in the day when maps were often horribly imbalanced....but i chose Bisu becuz obviously the best currently is the best all time

Most people would agree the general skill level of the pros has increased over the years. So in that respect I would say 2006 Boxer has a much better chance than 2001 Boxer in this fantasy tourney since his macro has improved drastically over the years. However I voted for OOV bcuz he's too awesome.

Why is chojja missing from the poll?

Chojja at his prime was one of the scariest zergs alive. He was the only player in the world capable of consistently beating Savior, taking him out in not one but TWO bo series in the same tournament. He made consecutive MSL+OSL finals back-to-back.

Reach and Anytime's peaks weren't really dominant at all.

rA and July's peaks had their moments but are wildly overrated. Both were far from invincible even at their primes.

Oov easily had the best reign of all. Probably no one will ever dominate the way he did again.

But Bisu will be the favorite to win the tournament, no doubt.

July's peak is overrated? He won two OSLs, and placed second in two other OSLs. This means that he's had more success in OSL than any other zerg player. He was the first zerg to win an OSL and he still doubles the OSL win count of any other zerg player. July also won the 2004 KT-KTF Premier league (which had an insane list of participants), and the ITV League and he did this all in the span of about a year.

It's true that July never dominated; he never appeared to be invincible. This is because his style didn't lend itself to domination. But it should be said that the most invincible-looking player of any era, iloveoov, stopped looking so hot because of July. Am I the only one that remembers how much of a shock it was when the invincible oov lost to July in the semifinals of the Gillette OSL, and how July then proved that it was not a fluke by utterly dominating oov in the ITV League?

Despite the fact that he never appeared to be invincible, July's accomplishments during his peak easily rival those of Savior. Chojja belongs in this poll about as much as gorush. Yeah, they were scary as hell during their respective peaks, but their peaks didn't last long, and their accomplishments are put to shame by others included in the poll.
That wasn't any act of God. That was an act of pure human fuckery.

Savior, never before had I considered that Zerg could be so utterly dominating. July and Yellow with their aggressive play always looked on the edge of destruction even when winning, but Savior was so utterly impenetrable and calm and totally in control that he never looked like he could be beaten, at his peak.

boxer vs oov on requiem was enough to make a man believe in god, and once that happens everything else is irrelevant.

funny that first and last winner are the ones leading
I must return to the time when I played with my own style, and when I determined the victory through strategies. And the strategies are a product of practicing more than anyone else. The key to success is to persevere through practice. Lim Yo-hwan

I cant vote for bisu just for one simple fact, druing his dominance atm there is no boxer or nada like terran around to challange him, terrans are mostly medicore.

Nada.

He would so own up these "new school" players like Bisu and Savior back in his glory days lol :p

Tfeign you are stupid. You don't even mention Nada and he is the most accomplished BW player ever....and he was dominating everyone so bad during his reign.
