much according to the poll's results, my favorite map is overgrowth followed by probably merry go round. waystation is my least favorite

i voted for overgrowth aswell, but not because i like it that much. its mostly because all the other maps are really bad designed. way station dont got a high ground advantage on any of the spawning locations and the 3rd is either giving the opponament high ground advantage or is way too open on the field(depending on where u spawn), with a good opportunity to camp medivacs and mass drop. i feel like the protoss is forced to all in because its so difficult to take a 3rd and the terran will often lose the 3rd because its just in the meta to take a 3rd vs zerg as T and slowly kill them. these maps are forcing sertain play styles or strategies to be used too often. like proxy 2rax reaper or proxy stargate on king sejong because u ofc wont delay the worker from scouting the opponaments main base for 20 sec. another example would be alterzim stronghold. 10gate vs 12gate scout. the scout will be too late if it doesn't find him at the first scouting location.
the vetoes in tournaments should not only be based on match ups. it should be based on the players play styles or strategies aswell. i see alot of players vetoing the same map in every single tournament because they are facing T or P and they know that it would be a big risk to be playing on that map, since no build is bullet proof maps should have small advantages for every race like in mid2013, instead of saying that "this map is super terran favored but then u will be playing a super zerg favored map later because u didnt have any vetoes left" and make them play super risky.
