Thorzain vs MC was a sick series. Both showcased their skill and provided a close, entertaining match. The game on Tal'Darim Altar was among the best games of the tournament.

Beautiful unit control and solid macro from both of these players. Also, almost non stop aggressions which have shown the great entertainment and highly ranked level of play. GG to both of you and especially, congratulations to ThorZain, proving that underdogs cannot be ignored.

Finals were good, but I think MC vs Thorzain was much more epic. Even though this was the finals, for me that series had much more on the line. Finals was between two swedish guys, while MC was the last korean standing. I was so happy, that Thorzain managed to show to the world, that "white dudes own koreans" . Also that series had longer games as I remember.

I'm tied between the Finals and MC/ThorZain...

But i guess having a finals match go to the final game7 gives a little edge.

Boxer vs Sen was really good, but the final was just mind blowing. So fucking intense.

It's awesome how TSL3 actually lived up to the TSL name in full. Not an easy thing to do.

MC Thorzain, the TDA game was the highlight of the tournament. The finals were certainly tense and exciting, and I had all sorts of nerd chills by the end, but the games weren't actually that good. Close, but not good.

Close call between Thorzain vs MC/Nani. I have to give it to the finals though simply because of the occasion and the comeback factor.

what an amazing final, i felt my heart beating and i was getting really tense and nervous as if i was playing... yes that's sad. but when it was 3-1 and naniwa was 4-gate stalker pushing for the win, it was so tense, and in the next match where thorzain pulled allllll his workers off the line and managed to hold on to his expo to keep him in it... wowowow was awesome.

Thorzain vs a Protoss...once again PVT is the more entertaining match-up in SC. Was in BW, is in SC2.

Seriously, in almost every game I didn't know who was going to win til' the last few minutes. I never before had such an emotional connection to a StarCraft final. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, cheering and exclaiming aloud like an idiot by myself. Even though I was previously unfamiliar with naniwa and thorzain, I think they deserved to be in the finals. Both players displayed extremely solid games.

However, I don't quite agree with naniwa saying he gave the last game away. It kind of sounds like he discredited thorzain's play. Who the fuck would give away 15k?

He *did* give it away. Unless you are misunderstanding the context of "giving the game away" it was kind of obvious. I could list a lot of factors that attributed to that, but I don't want to spoil.

The first SC2 game where I really started shouting and was emotionally gripped haha. Greatest SC2 series so far for me, it seemed like both of them were all in most of the time which made it so incredibly tense.

Each of those series had some epic games in them, but the series overall cannot, imho, stand up to the finals (although Thorzain vs. MC comes close). Asked about the most epic single game I would probably say Qxc vs. Genius: lategame reaper harrass! :D

I don't quite see how Thorzain vs. Naniwa was anywhere near as good of a series as Thorzain vs. MC or Boxer vs. Sen. The level of play in the latter two series was far superior to the level of play in Thorzain vs. Naniwa. In those two series, it felt like each player was playing perfectly and there was a steady tension the entire time. The players didn't make huge blunders, and the games were epic in and of themselves.

I think people are saying Thorzain vs. Naniwa just because of the external factor that it was the finals. If the games are removed from their context, I don't believe they were nearly as good as the other series aforementioned. Thorzain made a huge blunder in game 2 by pushing all the way toward Naniwa's main. Naniwa should not have busted up Thorzain's ramp after he realized that he was tricked into thinking that Thorzain 2-rax expanded. And, in game 7, Naniwa completely lost his composure, which resulted in an exciting game to be sure, but not an epic game.

Each game of the Boxer-Sen series was phenomenal. Game 2 of Kas vs. Thorzain was phenomenal. Many games in MC-Thorzain were phenomenal. In this series, only game 1 was really phenomenal to watch in its own right. The finals were based upon timing pushes, and it is very tough for timing pushes to have the same epic feel as Kas vs. Thorzain on Crevasse. I definitely enjoyed watching the finals and learned a lot from them (I watch SC2 primarily to learn, not for entertainment), but if I had to rank the series, the finals would not appear in the top 5.

Mc vs Thorzain was better games imo. Game 4 puts it over the top. The finals was epic because of what was on the line and how evenly matched they were, but the games themselves were mostly 2 base attacks (or 1 base), none as worthy as G4 MC Thorzain.

finals. which was also the best sc2 bo7 ever. period. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Thorzain/MC was epic as well.

The only qualification is that nani probably should've taken a 3rd during his initial (overly prolonged) 2 colossus push, but otherwise very meticulous play by both throughout.

this really deserves to go to either MC vs Thorzain or Boxer vs Sen. The finals were intense and everything but the quality of games wasn't up there. Both players were too cautious, and at the end naniwa threw away game 7.

Best series was MC vs Thorzain. But I thought the most intense was Thorzain vs Naniwa. I shed a tear when I was watching Thorzain's highlight real before the finals (mostly because I was yawning from just waking up) the crazyily strong route thorzain had to take to the finals, I don't think he could've had a harder route, but i think the path he had to take also made him that much stronger of a player.

Honorable mentions : sen vs boxer, their nasl matchup bo3 was really intense as well. possible rivalry? the Emperor vs the Lord of the Lings

Finals were SO GOOD! Although TSL in general had some many great series... =)

Thorzain vs MC was a sick series. Both showcased their skill and provided a close, entertaining match. The game on Tal'Darim Altar was among the best games of the tournament.

I couldn't agree more, i've been saying that Mc set a new standard for PvT by not going colossus, and doing a heavy gateway immortal mix, and using templars very very well.

Oh, other matches happened? It must have flown my mind what with the absolute EPICNESS of the finals match!

BO1 for more than $10, and worth it, too!
Beware, for I shall correct your grammar even as I read it.

The problem i have with Boxer vs Sen is, that both of those players will go down easily facing Naniwa or Thorzain, so while the games might have been "epic" and very tense, it may have only been because of even players facing each others, while the finals were the BEST of the tournament facing each other which shall not be forgotten.
