Simply wow.
Ya but the budget and time needed to make a movie is really really high.
Their quality of CGI is really top-notch. But it is just a 3.00 trailer.
To make a full-fledged SC-based movies would take insane amount of budget and time.
I doubt Blizz would want to invest into movies now. Though it is up to Activision to decide now.
Ye I know this would need a large amount of money and time, but I think it would be a worthy investment. I really dunno any animated movie, which had this quality and was in this more serious genre (I like those Pixar, Disney and co. movies, too, but I would like to see an animated movie in a serious genre as well). And I think many people, even those who aren't familiar with SC would visit the cinemas for this epic movie.
I disagreed.
Blizz should stick to what they do best. Which is to make games.
Making a SC movie with this quality of CGI animation would take tens of millions. Not to mention you need a really good director/producer/writer to make a good story of SC. And a lot of marketing.
Blizz expertise lies in producing games. Not making movies which is what the movie-industry does.
SCI/II is popular within the gaming community but not within the public community.

And all of that is why they are making a warcraft movie. Humhumhum.
That opening cinematic really sets the stage for the rest of the game but it also only causes the in-game graphics to look very childish. The linearity could be hope for a more serious plot but then again wasn't the ending spoiled a few years ago?
Also:

Minor thing, but it'd be nice if you could use XP or whatever to unlock colours for ladder.. Red vs. blue (or green vs. red) gets pretty boring. If two people choose the same colour you can have a backup or whatever. >_<
