This is a Winter Arena, not the normal big events. For this first one, it's basically just the players and staff in the MLG offices, there's no room for audience yet.

looks like some of the streams are free and they switch back and forth from free to ppv or something like that

Wow MLG must think they really have a great product if they're not even allowing free live stream. Even GSL the top league in the world has a free live stream. So glad i'm not supporting a money grubbing league that is completely selling out the community. Really makes me not want to support or watch mlg in any shape or form. It's lower quality play for more money. I hope MLG fails and reconsiders after this weekend because at this point i think everyone including myself is hoping for them to fail.

but surely theres a missed oppertunity here cos they have the worlds best 32 players in 1 building... i would definatly have paid up to say 50 dollars to go watch it live so surely if they held even this in an arena they could have made sum muni instead of relying on 20 doller internet streams..
Even if only 100 people turned up, surely a crowd of 100 is better than a silent room

I really hate the ppv modus of mlg  here in europe it's 1 o,clock in the morning and nobody will pay for this so a free stream with advertisment qould be soooo much better

This is not the thread to be bitching about the paywall. It's MLG's product and they can do with it whatever the fuck they want. It's dumb, yes, but they are allowed to be dumb.
What I really wanted to say is WTH is up with that pic of Naniwa on the front page that links to this thread? It's a really bad pic/scary looking of Naniwa, too much teeth!
