In all seriousness, this is a GSL article, when your hard working Stephano goes to GSL he might have a spot up there(doubt it).Until then, why the hate?
I love how anything other than overt gushing praise is regarded as hate now. I actually liked the article. I guess when the last one says that foreign tournaments are considered but nowhere near as much as GS(T)L, and now it's just a GSL power rank, it looks like it's just trying to avoid the interesting questions. Could at least list in the CBNC and say something.

MVP won MLG Anaheim as well as the GanZi WCG finalist thing that a lot of people have mentioned but a great article nonetheless!
I thought that at first but Anaheim meant Blizzcon, not MLG.
Thanks for the writeup. Those pics are hella cute as usual, and watching Cella's stream recently I saw the older Losira cat picture when he brought up TL ^^ It's good to know those guys can see the fan art and enjoy it too.
@sixfour: this power rank has been specifically for GSL a couple times running now. Check the first one of this format (previously there was a 32 man power rank relating to desserts or something)...it explains it all there. If you're in GSL, you're eligible for this article, period. This isn't the "ignore stephano" thread, and you probably are well aware that the TLPD top 5 rankings show Stephano at #1 for SC2 (International).
There's a few other Europeans I've never heard of there as well, plus Idra. ...kidding!
1. MVP 2. MMA 3. Nestea 4. Ganzi 5. Happy 6. Taeja 7. Coca 8. Marineking 9. DRG 10. Gumiho or Oz - in my opinion.
errr...Taeja still hasn't made it out of the GSL groupstage.
I'm a huge Taeja fan but until he delivers on the GSL stage he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in a top 10 like this. Once he breaks through (it really should be when, not if ><) then you can use his ESV performances to back up GSL results.[/QUOTE]
The dude has a phenomenal record in the ESV, not just 'good'. I encourage everyone to go look at it. This is a full 64 man tournament with some of the best korean players in the world.
HE HAS WON 6 of the last 7 of them. Statistically, that is a mathematical miracle. If we assumed all players had an equal chance of winning a 64 man tournament, for someone to win 6 times is a probability of around 1 in 60 million.
Futhermore, in the finals, they have been 4-1, 4-1, 4-1, 4-1, 4-0 and 4-3. He has absolutely dominated that tournament. No other playr has more than one gold; Taeja has 6 gold and a silver, and I believe has placed in the semis a couple times as well.
Sure, GSL-wise he has been underwhelming - as most new players are. DRG and MMA come to mind - two players who performed phenomenally in other tournaments before breaking out in GSL.

Taeja is a monster, theres no debating it.
Taeja is a beast for sure, but he hasn't defeated any of the other players in the power rank in the last few months except maybe Oz. All his victories mean is that he can defeat lower-tier Korean players with consistency. Until he can deliver in the GSL, he has no argument to be placed above the other players, all of whom have proven that they can survive among the best-of-the-best.
Group C is the group of uncertainty but D is the polar opposite. MVP is going to LOL all over the group. Sorry. It's worth noting that his opponents' names are FXOGuMiho, SlayerS_CoCa, and NsHS_Jjakji. Compared to MVP, they're just inanimate objects in space. Since it's pretty obvious that MVP will win doing whatever he wants, I'm just going to list the slightly less likely ways MVP might take his games.
This line seems really silly to me.... Jjaki Coca and Gumiho are insanely good top tier players... MVP has seemed very mortal recently so I would not say for sure that MVP takes first in this group, i'm really uncertain who it will be but any of these players could easily top MVP for first place in this group.

It's a GSL power ranking, it's for players in the GSL. When saying foreigner tournaments are considered, OP means "GSL players' performances in foreigner tournaments are considered". When Stephano plays in the GSL, he can be considered. And if you don't watch the GSL, it's your loss.
I cannot into seeing MC being worse then either HuK (yes HuK won him in some pvp´s...big whoop) or Killer. MC has 2 titles, MC had a slump yes, but so did MVP, somehow nobody ever doubted his skill, even though his slump came from him being a terran player, a predominant race in the game (simply based on statistics, no balance whine)
MC should be there in 7th place imo, Killer shouldn´t be there, and HuK should be 9/10th.
MC´s slump was simply him losing a couple of games, not being BossToss for a bit, and not making Protoss look like it was a viable race at the time, which it wasn´t even though he got those 2 amazing titles. Since MC´s fall many protoss players have been predicted to take his throne, be the "new generation" of protoss. None of those players have done fk all in the GSL, and no, going far in Code A is not enough to take MC´s crown.
MC won the GSL twice, made a race that nobody else could use properly actually win a GSL, that´s pretty sick, he was (and is I think) the only protoss who has had over or around 70% win ratio in the GSL. Most Protoss havn´t even been able to get over 50% even though they are immensely skilled, that puts MC´s slump into perspective.
In a personal ranking of just skill shown in the game, regardless of skill, i´d put 1. NesTea 2. MVP 3. MC - Those are the kings, MMA isn´t even close to these overall, and has been at the top for a very short while and I doubt his stay there will be prolonged.

MVP has seemed mortal? He has people clamoring about him being a bonjwa for crying out loud. Coca loses to every elite TvZer he faces. MVP annihilated him when they met in the GSL global invitational. Gumiho has great potential but is ridiculously inconsistent. Jjakji is good, but you don't beat MVP in a TvT unless you're in SlayerS, and Jjakji is not. Obviously no one is 100% invincible but MVP is about as big a favorite as you can get in the Ro16.
