I checked them too, and I'll give you that.
But Flash is playing better terran than anyone else has... ever. While EffOrt might only be the second best zerg around currently, that doesn't tell you that much if the best zerg is the greatest of that race of all time. EffOrt's multi-task might be the best in the game, his mechanics are almost unparalleled.
Now obviously we both know this, but I'd suggest that the combined starcraft skill of these two players is beyond anything we've ever seen before. And then there's the possible golden mouse, and the CJ/sAviOr storyline. I feel like you're underselling this, and I'm not sure why.
Hype for hype's sake? I know TL's not strictly selling anything, but I feel like part of the job of the newsposts and TL's coverage should hype up events like a starleague finals. Why not? If more people are excited about these events, and more people watch the streams, and talk, and discuss and rage about it, then that builds this community.
I'm not trying to in anyway put the weight of the community on your shoulders, and please understand, I've loved your season of coverage, I think TL's coverage keeps improving every year, but something about the tone of this and the last few articles have just seemed dismissive, and I can't see the reason for it. There's plenty to be excited about, plenty of storylines to follow, and some excellent games ahead.
If each game is as interesting, exciting and crazy as the two Flash v. Z's that you've linked to, then we're going to be in for the best starleague in recent memory. And if every game sucks, well then, that would be disappointing. But I'd bet on an entertaining starleague final.

before the PL Effort vs Flash game I thought this would be a very one-sided finals, but after Flash lost... there seems to be some hope for Effort! Although, beating Flash in a boX will be much more difficult than to take one game from him...

hey don't take the credit away from savior's defiler play... you don't have to only focus on the bad things a person does, just because hes caught in a scandal, doesn't mean he's necessarily always like that, we all have our "bad" days. savior just happened to have a "really" bad day and ofc im not saying what he did was justified, but just getting some perspective makes the world more understanding.
