To everyone confused about why they did it for so little money, keep in mind that they can only accuse them of the crimes they can prove! In other words, they probably all earned a lot, lot more than the sums listed, just they can't prove all of it.

Anyway, this is terrible news

So what are the consequences for these people? Do they get fined or jail time?

Jail time for sure. Nice name btw. Gambling on itself is illegal in Korea. Match-fixing? Ouch.

Really, jail? Maybe for the broker, but the players might get away with a fine. For my taste, imprisonment would be a bit harsh for those small sums of money. Of course I don't know anything about Korean law.

Perhaps suspended sentences, not just fines. A couple of TV personalities were given suspended sentences for online gambling while in Korea. A Korean singer was fined for gambling in Macau.

That's what happens in every scene where money start playing a big role.

I hope they get a year of jail.

Ok great!!! sAviOr will stay a mystery for we will never know if he became that "bad". I recon he's the one that made a lot of money considering his dominance at the time.

sad, he's my favorite zerg.

Flash is involved in a related scandal. He's currently taking bribes to win every game!

Sad but not surprising. People will always try to cheat and get around the system if they think they can get away with it. I was just reading about match-fixing in sumo wrestling during the year of 89-90. In sumo wrestling your livelihood is intimately linked to your performance in tournaments and having more losses than wins can mean demotion. In 89-90 wrestlers with a 7-7 record won over 80% of the time in their final match. An opponent with a winning record would often trade favors and intentionally lose to avoid the negative consequences of ending a tournament with a losing record.

I'm disappointed with those involved, but they are human and prone to error. I'm actually surprised we didn't hear about this earlier.

I'm just thankful that it's few relevant players / legendary players so far. Savior doing this was a big let down.

Life time ban and fines x1.5 the sums they earned feels reasonable as a punishment jail time would be wrong imo

Well, at least this is fewer progamers that the original 20+ list...
But as for those involved, shame on them, it's sad for e-sports that they did something like that.

Wow Savior. The little amount of money does seem weird but as someone said that is probably all they can prove.

So e-sports is no different from all the other pro-sports? Well, who would have thougt....

I always feel a little sad when I hear such news. But after more than 10 years of spectating a lot of sports the disappointment wears of... "Happens"/is revealed too often.

No big losses to the scene.
Just people who have to cheat insteard of working hard to achieve thier goals, hope to never see them again in E-sports events.

Fuck you $avior!!! And all the others too. Instant lifetime bans, throw them out on the street. $avior is a disgrace to his own self and status.
