I think scum won on the strength of their day play rather than their night shots, but generally I don't see a huge benefit to strategies besides shooting the towniest and most dangerous players, except for certain night-action specific things, like dodging doctor saves etc

Basically you either kill the towniest/best players so late game is a mess of people eyeing each other suspiciously or you just YOLO and let Town logic themselves to death.

This was at least one reason for why in the least HF and/or VE are mafia. Both are making strong pushes in the thread but mafia seemed to have 2 KP. I didn't 100% follow the game, but HF being alive on D2 when mafia has 2 KP considering his track record is a surprise at least.

no not really, they were shots on people that would never die but looked towny enough but weren't the top town because:
a) if top town get shot me and ritoky would look overwhelmingly more suspicious for not dying over them for ages
b) those shots were never likely to be able to be pushed as mislynches
c) those shots were never likely protects either but also b)
d) a lot of wifom on n1 shots which was great

What happened was that HF claimed that there was one person in the thread who know his alignment for certain (implying a mod-confirmed mason) and when rit came out with the mason claim that was just assumed to be the case. I didn't make sure that the mod actually confirmed HF with ritoky because distraction, and eventually (as with all things) it just became accepted that he was confirmed.

I actually consider this to be next-level play, the kind of play I'd like to pull off. I'm sad that I wasn't able to do so first myself.

I wanted to bring it up again and i did and you promptly ignored my point.
It was scummy because you had a scum read on lian, and instead of PUSHING said scum read you sat bad and only talked about misder and then you jumped on misder when shenanigans could of happened. Your excuse was that you didn't have the support and it never got traction lol, you never pushed it you just afk'd a vote until you jumped on misder.

i disagree with this entirely, and take a lot of offense to this comment. i knew full well what i was doing accepting HF's assertion. yes it ended up backfiring on me, but he agreed with my case that lynched mafia day 1 so i was willing to take the risk for a while. like i said if it was 4 or 3 with HF alive, i was lynching HF 100% of the time; i had already made the conscious decision.
you shouldn't talk shit and underestimate players. it was that same line of thinking that had 0 people listening to my reads that were 80% on mafia almost all game.

This is a frankly shocking justification; if a player is telling the thread something that isn't true, then you say so. I don't care if you "knew full well what you were doing", because what were you were doing was bad.
Whatever upside you think there was in letting the thread believe a lie, it wasn't worth it and it was never going to be worth it.
