This is a frankly shocking justification; if a player is telling the thread something that isn't true, then you say so. i agree and disagree. i think had i not gotten busy with work at an inopportune time, i would have corrected it sooner in the thread (but hindsight is a bitch huh?). however, in terms of personal experience and my opinion it served as a very good function of continuity for at least day 2, i would probably play it the same for the second day doing it over; the 3rd and beyond is questionable.
your criticism is obtuse though. "don't lie as town" yeah....right.
i also think there is a problematic meta on these forums from my personal experience where certain players value others' opinions way too highly and disregard others' opinions way too quickly. but that's another can of worms.

if it makes you feel better ritoky I treat all players equally in terms of consideration. I would never consider paying extra attention to a player just because he's a "vet" or has played more games.
Of course, I never pay attention to anyone's ideas but my own and that of RNG, but the point stands: I'm very equitable in my ignorance.

If HF is town he doesn't need you calling him confirmed, and if he's mafia, then well... the game happened.

Yea I thought you had said you knew he wasn't mod confirmed but went with it anyway. I don't know if you realize this. But from my perspective at least. Part of the reason that Town wasn't listening to you was that you set up HF to be MOD CONFIRMED town. That means the he is TOWN FOR SURE 100%. And as he also is (presumably) a good town player and therefore people followed his lead. And as he was leading town astray with mislynching people. The thread had trouble saying hey that's scummy or HF might be scum. Because you as someone who also looked townie gave him your credence and therefore made it less likely that people would call out HF on being scummy.

Whoa calm down there tiger. I'm not "talking shit" OR "underestimating" you. But the fact remains that you accepted mod-confirmation of Holyflare WITHOUT MOD CONFIRMATION. Like, that is a fact. It was an observation I made. I say you didn't know any better because you literally didn't know any better. You took HF's word being confirmed and you let the thread think as much as well.
I'm not saying you're to blame, and I'm not saying you're bad - you were one of the most clear townies in the game. What I'm saying is that the fact that you may not necessarily understand some of the mechanics behind the mason and its subsequent claim came into play when HF decided to play that way, and he's a bastard for it.
