The thing I noticed about Lian is that he's withholding his vote on OO because of "principles." (????) Aside from harping on the BH shit which didn't mean anything, I don't like how he's arbitrarily holding out on voting for someone he perceives as scummy. Also, I rescind my townread on Grack. Not reading the thread =/= alignment indicative, but he pushes me based on the fact that I didn't know whether or not he called BH town. It's an incredibly superficial push and I don't like it. Like...I know two of my scumreads are based on omgus, but I feel like both of them are stupid enough to warrant it. I don't feel confident reading any other players right now. Looking back, I don't feel confident making many reads based on the few pages that I missed. I feel like I hit the most important topic that I wanted to cover (the people who were pushing the random voters) and I developed my reads off of it. I still want to see more from Batsnacks and BH and I'd prefer to interact with them before formulating reads on either of them. You wanted to talk about Lian earlier but did not at all until this list post that contained him. tell me more what you think about him, is he scummy from what hes done in the thread? Do you just not like how he approached the vote? Was it understandable for him to feel weird going along with a policy lynch at that point? You say that you didn't like it but there is not much of a conclussion drawn from it, its pretty open ended where are you ending up on him. Why should you rescend a town case on grack at this point for something so arbitrary if someone is pushing you for bad reasons they could still be town. i think it's pretty obvious if you were reading mine or bh's (your scum reads filters), it's because of how he handled the OO scum read and didn't vote him on principle but then gave other scum suspects anyway but then voted him right at the end when it didn't really matter anyway | ||

My reason wasn't actually that you didn't read the thread but that you were complaining about nobody posting trying to progress the thread while not having read the thread - which I found fake and scummy Palmar didn't read the thread but I didn't care because he wasn't complaining about low content in the game. | ||

Here's how the RNG works. 1. Each post made across all of TL is given a unique ID #. Since there are like 20+ posts per second being made on TL, this means that it's basically impossible to guess with more accuracy than "within 20" what the ID # will be. 2. Through the use of the Modulo Operation, I can convert that ~20 post uncertainty into a random number generator that can get as big as 1-20 and still be reliable in terms of still being random. 3. Since I don't know the post ID # until AFTER I've posted it, there's no way for me to "select" a post ID number. I say in the post "this post is the post whose ID # I'm going to use" and I make the post, and there's the ID number after I've made the post. There's no way to backtrack this. I've thought about ways to game it, and basically it's not possible to game. There's one circusmtance where it is possible to control the RNG, in large games. + Show Spoiler + I wouldn't use this method in a game with more than 20 people since it becomes less random (since one could predict, for example, which half the RNG was likely to land it, etc as the size of the modulo approaches the posts-per-second count. A particularly skilled and fast player with reflexes under a second, in a game with more than 20 players (or if there's a weird lull in TL posting for some reason) could game the RNG system so that he could narrow down which half of the player list the RNG would fall into, or even more, by making another post in another thread somewhere on TL, quickly reading the post ID, then making the RNG post in the Mafia thread in under a second. This is still noticeable to anyone who looks at the guy's TL post history, but it might not be noticed. In any case, not doable in a game this small. | ||
