Funny thing is, if we had followed my plan we would have won lol. At least now I can confidently point to the acro post on me that I bus as scum and have good reads late as town.
Holyflare makes a fantastic crown holder.
Also if Risen was scum the first nomination would have been all people he didn't feel deserved the belt. Day 1 nomination -
" Grackaroni Oatsmaster Corazon "

I'm curious to hear from other people, what would you guys have done (if anything) differently with the nominations and why? The setup is interesting, but I don't really feel like we had any room to do anything other than use the noms as our NK.
|
Nominate the worst players and let the best duke it out obviously.
Edit: gonzaw knows what's up
|
You should have put your entire scumteam on every nomination. If you win doing that, THEN you deserve the belt.
|
After a point you don't have enough scum and you HAVE to include townies - as long as you lynch the townies when that happens it's totally doable.
|
Both ways are fine. I think putting in scum is better if you think you are going to have to resort to bussing (since you are highly likely to lose if it gets down to 3 people after confirming townies.) I think nominating all town is better if you think your team can get a flawless victory.
|
It's hard to get a flawless victory that way though because townies first reaction is to treat the Nominees as town, so lynches will generally be in the pool of non-Nominated players which scum are all presumably a part of.
|
I still consider it a misplay from the first Nomination that scum didn't Nominate someone from their team early on. The reward potentially outweighs the risk imo. Especially if scum are found on the lynch if the Nominated scum gets lynched.

EDIT: Derp, you're talking about your game. Nevermind.

Yeah my bad that was unclear.

Apologies to my teammates. When I replaced in, I knew I was scheduled to work a bit, but someone came down with the flu so I ended up covering a lot of extra shifts this week. That, plus 24 hour cycles meant I was missing the important times in the thread when people were around.
Not that that excuses not posting, though. TBH before i replaced, geript was my #1 scum read. Should have known that was who I was replacing Also it felt like the biggest proponents for my lynch in the times I *WAS* around was my own teammates, which was extremely demoralizing. So I just gave up and I feel pretty bad about it.
Probably my last game for a while again. GL fellas!

Keir you could've taken me out son. EZPZ.

Yea I think I could have gotten you lynched. But I was at dinner when I got replaced in, then spent 3 hours reading the thread over again, then 2 hours writing that big post.
By that time it was 2am and I had to be at work at 8 the next morning
Edit: Also, the problem was that in my head, there was no way town would lynch VA and then when he flipped town, turn around and lynch you. My goal with pushing you was to get you lynched, and then VA would be the obvious lynch the next day.
Edit2: What I mean with ^ is that, the way I saw things, I was going to be the default lynch after VA flipped. If I could get you lynched first, then the next lynch would be between me and VA and I hoped I could talk myself out of that. Of course, that's not how it went down, but that was my plan when i started pushing you.
Also, I semi-attempted to frame oats. I was planning on never mentioning his name, but then I didn't end up posting enough for it to matter

Oh, and a town read on Grack!
(In fairness, that's why I said "semi-attempted" )

Man im sorry for not playing the game as well as I couldve but we wouldve lost eventually.
Why did scum let holyflare get so close to being lynched? I think that helped tremendously for the scumteam.

I still don't think I was a good lynch for D2 at all. But "snowmegeddon" and I'm finally graduated... again. Now I get to prepare for another bigger moreimportant test.

Of course I replace out because my free week got stuffed unexpectantly and I wouldn't be able to post or read for more than 20 min a day. Then once I replace out not a few hours later everything gets cancelled I was dually frustrated that day.
