kush apologised and offered to change his ways after being largely antagonistic for some time, and basically only became contrite when it was clear that the forum was trending towards a perm ban for him.

for sidesprang i'd favour a multi-game ban, which 98% will be the end of him, but on the small chance that he's serious about playing mafia, leaves the door open to take penitence that would take many weeks/months as befitting the seriousness

Me too. For the times that he DID play he was enjoyable to play with. With that said: his behavior was deteriorating since the shadowed series.

If he can't be assed to sitout a single game ban anyways, I doubt he will be bothered to sitout multiple games anyways. If he has the intention (which he can show by posting) of playing here still and changing his ways, i'd be all for having him around more.

If we go multi game it had better be at least three with a mark on his record that says something about perming him if he is mod killed for any reason.

We let kush off for a lesser offence. Remember that sprang ban dodged to be in a newbie game, the person who has done that before was threesr and we did perm him.

A semi-permanent ban seems perfectly reasonable to me. He's already been banned twice - even a normal ban would be five games.

And trying to dodge a previous ban+smurfing into a newbie game is clearly worse.

Sidesprang was a decent person to play with. He made a mistake, but marv is right, we should give him a multi and the chance to reform and come back.

If he really wants to play mafia enough to /sitout 3 games or so then he is worth giving a final chance.

Perming people should be an absolute last resort. And let's be honest. He probably wasn't all that much better a player than some of the newbies, it is not like it is rayn and I smurfing into a newbie so we can destroy everyone. He hadn't played all that much more than the 4 game cutoff.

What I want to know is. How the F did Blazinghand have multiple IP address' of players here to compare?

Incidentally, he seems to be listed on the ban list twice (once with a capitalized name, once without). I'm assuming he didn't sit out the first offense either?

Can't you request IP checks as a host?
