I don't mind people breaking rules as long as it doesn't matter at all. I'm not going to say that austinmcc should get punished for breaking a rule which was bolded in the OP because I don't think that the infraction of that rule matters at all. But I think it's silly that gumshoe isn't getting warned for not posting for 60 hours and generally not putting in any effort after a certain point in the game. He very clearly just dropped the game, apparently because he thought he was losing anyway. We could argue about whether or not that was really what happened but I'm pretty sure everybody would agree that's exactly what happened. Now gumshoe might be a good guy, he probably is because in my exprience 99% of everybody on TL Mafia are good guys. I just think that his behavior this game was bad and we should not condone it. A warning doesn't mean anything anyway, only that we don't like this kind of thing on TL Mafia and both he and everybody else should really strive not to do this. If we don't even warn him then the precedence we set and the statement we make is "60 hour afk is okay, if you don't think the game is going your way then just ignore it, that's perfectly fine" and is that really what this community is thinking? And I don't like the "where does it end" argument because it ends where we want it to end, pretty much. It's not like it's going to spin out of control and suddenly we ban everybody from TL Mafia. We just say "we like this" or "we don't like this" and if there's something we used to not like that we suddenly like then that's just it, we stop warning/banning for it. The thing we ended up with seems to be "not guilty, but we're going to keep an eye on you" which is ridiculous. Ultimately I don't care whether or not gumshoe gets warned, this is just a single case and the case I have an opinion on because I happened to witness it all as I was in the game. I guess the case is already closed and I guess he'll probably not do this next game anyway. I simply just don't like the signal we send by not even warning behavior like this. | ||

Standard Inactivity for Pretzelshop for failing to vote. I request a Permanent TL Mafia Ban for Sidesprang. Sidesprang has played in many games, and is no longer eligible for newbies. Furthermore, he is on the ban list for a temporary inactivity ban. He made a smurf and attempted to /in to my newbie game without telling me; he lied about smurfing, about his newbie status, and about the ban list, and the fact that he lied about all these things indicate to me that he willfully violated our rules. I noticed his IP Address was the same as Sidesprang. I PMed him something innocent to confirm that there was someone on the account, asking about Sc2. He responded normally and also indicated that he did not know me. When I asked him about being Sidesprang, he stopped responding and did not post again on that account. I removed him from the signup list. It's also worth noting he didn't try to smurf into a regular game or something where he could play against other people who have played games. He wasn't just circumventing our ban rules: he tried to smurf into a newbie game where he shouldn't be playing anyways. To do what, beat up on newbies? Come on ._. this guy doesn't belong in our community, let's get rid of him. | ||
