Generally speaking, why I ban people or what I ban for is vague in scope. There are certain actions that deffo get you banned, and some where it's not clear. I want my players to constantly quake in fear at putting even a toe over the line. I want them to extrude their evening beers through their facial pores at the thought of flaming or going inactive in one of my games. I explicitly say in my games you can get modkilled for entirely capricious reasons. That being said, I try to be reasonable. For me I ask for a Warning in in situations where the player technically did violate the rules, but didn't violate the spirit of the game, or vice versa, in a minor way. Meatpudding, for example, was basically 100% dead. The right move would have been for him to concede. Instead of conceding, he did nothing for 48 hours. It pisses me off that he wasted my time, but at the same time, it's not like he had a better than 5% chance of winning. So we warn him, and if he ever steps out of line again, he gets more than 1 game ban. If he's good from now on, he has effectively gotten a free pass. And if he does this again? He'll feel the pain of the ban he didn't get, just later. And of course, I'll keep a very close eye on him in future games I host, as I do with all people I take mod actions against. | ||

Ritoky had a spat with Marv and was a man about it; he told me and solved the problem TheChyz just randomly left leaving me clueless until people started to speak up I don't care what his spat was or with whom, although if someone remembers it as being particularly bad I am open to discussion about it.
