A question to Black Mesa: This is the second game I have done involving the player list moving around. Did you enjoy trying to manipulate the list towards your own ends while having to deal with unknowns like scum in the mason chat?
I enjoyed it, but there were a couple issues which fixing would make it better imo.
We had no idea how changes to the list resolve(I apparently had priority over some other actions because n1 my check didn't hit who I wanted it to and Shiao was 2 slots below me instead of one). After that I stopped trying to understand it.
Not necessarily a full list of cop then watcher then other list modifiers or whatever, but even if I wanted to plan with Onegu to set up ourselves for a check/watch on someone, it was still a toss up.
The other issue with Black Mesa was there was no incentive to post in it, at all as town with the pseudonyms. With scum possibly in it, planning wasn't reliable because you'd be announcing what you were doing. The best we could accomplish was establish scum was in there, which doesn't do anything with pseudonyms. I probably wouldn't have posted in there period had Onegu not outed himself, except maybe for a will post.
Not sure how to fix that one other than requiring real names if you post, but then scum has no incentive to post in it at all. Maybe something like they get a vote to either give a power, a mini-election to give vet status or something like that.
Overall the game was a blast, thanks for hosting.
Cross I disagree about not claiming to BM, but I'll have to type that up. Regardless, thanks for the analysis.
