I'm glad to hear the show went well. As far as the youtube thing, I don't think heavy post-specific analysis actually lends itself well to a great cast and it is quite boring to hear a person read a post to begin with. That kind of thing has to be peppered in, if it's present at all, and introducing the post (was in this game, by x player, on x day, who was x alignment) is good enough under those circumstances. If you want specific posts analyzed, just PM a vet or someone really good who can help you out in breaking it down.

We're not making "Ver's XXX Analysis: The Podcast", because it just wouldn't be entertaining and no one would listen (regardless of whether they should or not.)

I would listen to that and i think many others would I think individual post analysis leads itself more to text or a stream with video like palmars video analysis since he doesn't reads the post himself but delivers the analysis in a nice way. http://yourlisten.com/channel/content/16964486/TL_Scumcast_Ep_2 Overall I think it turned out well, however I'm still not convinced that podcasts are good for individual game analysis. A lot of the really good stuff (on the cast, as well as post-podcast) were from player anecdotes and borderline off-topic things. In the next cast I record, I want to go back to just answering community questions, or just do something hilarious like discussing Personality 2 and sharing crazy mafia stories.

If people want they can like just read it off the screen, while you guys give a more abstract general analysis of it, or just show it as an example. I dunno, it may help the immersion of the listener. Talking about how someone played in a specific game and stuff kind of loses the impact if you can't experience that actual play. This is if you want to analyze plays and stuff of course. I'd say it would be a nice touch, to analyze a game or player every once in a while. Or give examples and show some posts and stuff on screen. On March 23 2013 23:44 VisceraEyes wrote: What we really need are people to send in either requests for topics or questions for Q&A. Like, we can totally make shit up, but if people have real questions that's obviously preferable. After all, aside from the self-gratifying masterbatory aspect of doing this, we're doing it for you, the community, and if there's something we can talk about to make you understand the game better or become a better player, chances are it will help someone else too. ![]() Topic of discussion: Chezinu!

I wanted to play personality 2 different, but had no need to. My first game as scum (NMM36) I had a set way I wanted to play, and ended up getting lynched. Im not a pro mafia player by any means, but I would think that flexibility is very important for surviving.

Perhaps, instead of talking for 40 minutes about one game like we did with Nomination, we can spend like 10 minutes each on a few games and talk about things in more general terms. If we even want to do game-summary type things at all. The community questions were interesting topics, and we did very well covering those.

I barely had time to listen to all of it. Why not make it like 10-20 minute "snips", and have several of those per sitting? Like, spend 10 minutes discussing 1 game, and make it an individual video. Then 10 minutes talking about something else, and another individual video. You can make as many of these as you wish when you guys hang out in skype (or whatever) to make the podcast, but I think having more of these with a smaller duration would be better. This way you can also "categorize" your discussions and focus on different stuff per video or stuff like that.

The longer we went on, the more comfortable we got, and the more entertaining the podcast was.
