I've tried to. But every time I do, people bitch at me for not talking more. And then when I answer, they ask for me to get banned from TL Mafia. I think I have a bit of a right to have an issue with that.

And yeah, given that you were all dancing nicely to DP's tune until I called him out, I'll take a bit of credit.

And as for Shady, if you think I'm likely to be wrong about Alan, maybe you should have posted analysis along those lines to clear him and push a better target, instead of sheeping on someone who you think is a horrible player.

Were we dancing to DP's tune? Ange and aRyuu posted on DP about a page before you did, if I recall. You didn't join in on DP until DP inexplicably defended you in one of his posts.

I don't remember DP leading the votes until I called him out.

And I notice you're managing to ignore what I said. If you don't like hearing what I have to say, let me ignore you. We'll all be happier.

Jingle, you don't have any bit of town cred. It's the fact that you and DarthPunk would not have fitted as a scum team that has saved your ass from being lynched today. So I don't think that you calling him out did anything to tip the votes in DarthPunk's favor.

That's because Ange and aRyuu made their cases while most of us were asleep or at work. The issue is, as a confirmed townie, if you choose to ignore me, essentially it means that we can't keep you in town for LYLO either, which means we *have* to lynch you tomorrow since a no-lynch equals LYLO.

With this level of self-delusion in the thread, is it really so surprising I try to ignore you all as much as I can?

What exactly is self-delusional in my post? If you ask any player in this game right now about how much town cred they'd give you from a scale from 1-10 I would be really surprised if you would get more than 3.

Endgame

Figure 7. Gotcha.

Shady Sands was tasked with guarding the basement of the candy store. He never really understood why, but that wasn't his job. When the Sergeant tells you guard the crime scene, you do it. He supposed it was maybe to prevent the town folks from coming in and destroying evidence, but he knew that wasn't going to happen. Everyone in the town knew what had been going on here.

That's what made what happened next so much more surprising. Late in the night, right as Shady Sands was about to fall asleep, he heard someone opening the rear bulkhead of the basement. Shady snapped awake. The chances of this being someone who belonged in the crime scene this late at night was almost zero. Whoever this was was up to no good.

He waited a few more moments for whoever it was to get a bit further into the basement. He heard a thud, and a gruff voice swear briefly. Adrenaline pumped through Shady's body. He knew that this had to be one of the mafia. This was it.

He turned on the lights to the basement, and found a wide eyed Alan133 staring back at him.

Alan133 the mafia roleblocker was lynched by the town!

With all of the threats to the town eliminated, the town wins the game!

GG everyone!

I have to say, this game was a lot of fun to host. Everyone in the Obs QT was really impressed with the level of play, on both sides, which was going on throughout this game. Most newbie games are short and full of bad lynches, but this one proved to be the exception. The town atmosphere throughout the entire game was very solid. That's not to say that the mafia team did a bad job. If a few things had gone a bit different, the mafia team definitely could have one this one. Again, both sides played very well.

Setup

A few notes on the setup before I go any further. The setup used for this was based on the C9++ setup, and was as follows:

  • 1 Town Doctor
  • 1 Town Vigilante
  • 2 Masons (one pair)
  • 6 Vanilla Townies
  • 1 Goon
  • 1 Mafia Roleblocker
  • 1 Godfather

Initially, I had planned on modkilling at least one player (on average, this player would be town). Between the modkill or a bad vig shot, the scum would have only needed three mislynches to win the game, which is pretty standard for a mini.

Instead, the vig never got off his shot, only one player needed to be replaced, and the medic got off a save Night 1. This pushed the number of mislynches needed for the scum to win up to four, which is pretty hard. My apologies to the scum team, you guys had an uphill battle throughout the entire game.

Game Summary

After a typical Day 1, Golbat the vigilante was lynched. Night 1, Ange777 pulled off a hero save, keeping the mafia team from killing off Keirathi, one of the masons in the game. During Day 2, a power vacuum emerged in the game, which Alan133 took advantage of to execute a bluesnipe by leading the town to lynch Promethelax, a maneuver which the town never managed to punish the mafia team for. After a second try, the mafia managed to nightkill Keirathi, confirming his mason buddy Shady Sands as town. The town spent the first half of Day 3 pushing the lynch of JingleHell, before Ange777 convinced the town to lynch Zorkmid instead. Due to disorganization on the part of the mafia team and the timing of the voteswitch, the mafia member didn't have enough time to perform a proper bus, and DarthPunk and Alan133 were lynched the following two days.

MVPs

The town MVP of this game was, hands down, Ange777. Night 1, she managed to get off a hero save of Keirathi, which managed to keep another excellent town player alive for an additional cycle, and tie up the scum's KP for an additional night. Despite the mafia team's best efforts, they never discovered that Ange was the doctor. The other notable act she performed on this game was convincing the town to lynch Zorkmid over JingleHell. Overall, she played excellently throughout the entire game.

On the other side of the ring, Alan133 played an excellent game. I was incredibly impressed with his performance Day 2. Seeing the power vacuum in the town, he proceeded to seize control of the lynch, and tried to use it to execute a bluesnipe on Promethelax. Reading the scum QT, you can see the work that he put into making it work, and planning against Prom's medic claim (which never came). He put a lot of work into finding the blues in this game, and properly identified Shady as being a mason pair before learning that there were masons in the game. His scum play this game stood out as being exceptional, and I hope to see him back in many games to come.

A special thanks to:
The players: This game wouldn't have been any fun without you guys.
The coaches: VisceraEyes for the scum, and BlazingHand for the town. Huge thanks to BH for keeping his conversation with Shady in the QT so I can go back and read their interactions. (Might make that standard from now on.)
And final, Marvellosity, who valiantly kept this game running while I was gone/lazy.
Thanks for playing!
