Dude, the votes are almost equal with you and VE. You don't have an information role with new information to give to town. Another thing: If you live today, and you are really a vet, you become useless! Scum will know you are a vet and will never shoot you. If you didn't claim and VE got lynched, then perhaps scum would shoot you and your role would be useful. Even if you are getting lynched, then claiming your role is useless like I said before, so even then it's better for you not to claim. I know the claim does basicly nothing (like VE's !) but in case people actually want to lynch me I just feel obligated to give out every piece of information I have. What? You acknowledge the claim is bad yet you still claim? And General out of all roles? That's the easiest role for scum to claim, it even justifies them surviving each night (because of what I said earlier). | ||

Claiming vet is dumb. Pretty ironic too, with all the ribbing that Toad has done on VE's bad claim. The role flavor pertaining to him makes sense I guess; it would coincide with me being a vet (I've mentioned a few times that I've never had a useful role and I wanted a gun, maybe GMarshal picked up on this). and VE "sleeping for 48 hours" ?? I'm not going to do a re-read of the thread, but a look over WBG's points is necessary at this point. Both sides are claiming that the other viewpoint is completely wrong, dumb, etc. Someone has to be lying. I'm trying to clear my mind of bias to be able to see clearly. I don't see how lynching someone other than VE/Toad can be good, unless you have a good feeling of both being townie. It'll leave a giant festering mess that will continue on into D3. Unless you think you can get reads off of the two by trying to push a different lynch. Adam where the heck are you. | ||

I've been reading for an hour and a half and I somehow haven't even gotten half way through day2. Now I have to sleep because I do have class tomorrow (and it's 1 am for me) but by the time I get back there will be another 20-30 extra pages. | ||

The dead blue roles, sputnik, Jackal and Midnight had these role names: ST - Baron Vladimir Harkonnen Jackal - Lord Marcus Aster the fifth, of the noble line of Aster MG - Alexander Scott These are VE's and Toad's claims: VE - Charles Williamson Toad - Robert Boscawen, Viscount of Falmouth No confirmed blue had any mention about their political role in their role name. Jackal's one says "of the noble line of Aster"; but that's not a political name, it's about his lineage. For istance, michaelthe's one was "Lord Keith , the Earl Marischal", and sloosh's one was "Lady Anabel Grey, the Countess De Grey" (Janaan didn't have one though, he was VT too). They have "Earl" and "Countess", and Toad's one has "Viscount" (also lol sloosh was a lady!) Yet the other 3 dead blues don't have one, and VE's claim doesn't have one either. Is it completely random, or could it be that blue roles don't have political names? (in which case VE most likely says the truth or was lucky with his fake-claim, and Toad is lying and is scum). Also maybe it's fair to assume scum will get fake-claims. I wonder what VE's role flavour is though. Anyways ET, could you respond to what I posted earlier perhaps? I need to clear my mind regarding this subject, it's fucking drilling my head  | ||

I don't think you can call Toad out for having "Viscount", unless you think it's weird that his comes as a suffix. WBG seems very very confident that VE is lying. I think VE is town but I'm not 100%; I'd say I'm leaning 70-30 in favor of VE. ATM town seems pretty evenly split... how the hell are we going to consolidate this. | ||

For instance, Jackal had "Lord" as prefix, yet we know "Lords" are VTs this game. Which means the prefixes are pretty much useless I think. Anyways, would a mass "Lord" name claim be useful here? I mean, there isn't any indication that the actual name of the player (e.g: Walter Long, Marcus Aster, etc) has anything to do with the role or alignment right? Maybe that way we could force scum to fake-claim something (unless they also have "Count Baron Lord bla bla bla bla bla bla" names as well). I am Michael Kerr for instance. Anyways: Grack His first post was okay, but his latter contributions weren't that insightful. He goes against Tunkeg, discussing the "BH incident", and doesn't comment on other players or incidents. Then his vote on Hassy is suspicious, he just comes out of nowhere to jump on the Hassy wagon, but after that he never mentions Hassy at all, he just posts one-liners, or argues with ST, asks BH a question, but doesn't contribute anything else. Then as soon as D2 hits, he just speculates about scum having a vig, and that's it. No thoughts on players, no thoughts on Toad or VE or Wbg or anybody else. VERY little content throughout D1/N1. Of course he disappeared throughout the whole D2 until now. I'm suspicious of him, because I know he cares more as town and contributes more, for instance in Aperture Mafia. Artanis: I liked his 1st post initially, because it made sense. Now that I look about it, maybe it made sense but didn't really add much to the table (just a thought). He posted his thoughts about Tunkeg, Janaan and ST, and nothing else throughout the WHOLE D1/N1. Then he's AWOL throughout the whole D2, and like mentioned previously, comes with this gem: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=325046¤tpage=58#1152 He was inactive for like an eternity, and has a LOT to comment on regarding Toad, VE, wbg, etc; yet the only thing he does is focus on a "scumslip" of mine. Of the countless posts made in the thread, he decided to analyse the wording/grammar of a post of mine that didn't have anything to do with the actual game and decide to FoS me on that. No thoughts about the Night kills, no thoughts about Toad, no thoughts about VE. That raised a flag to me Of course he then retracts himself. However, I thought his next post (with his VE/Toad/wbg reads) was pretty solid, but well, it's just one post, it doesn't make him town because of that. Except for the occasional good contentful post from his, his activity levels and that post he made about me make me suspicious of him. Then again, because of his low activity there's not much to say about him, just like most other lurkers. Ghost: I was kind of biased in thinking he was town because of the stupid FoS Toad made on him about the "bandwagon" thing. I liked his reaction to the Hassy wagon though, but it's not really an alignment-tell. The ONLY other player I would be ok with a massswitch on is BH, not ANYONE else. Not johnny, not Katina, no one else. That would actually be derailing the thread, since those targets are "scummy", but I think they will receive more resistance and may potentially fuck us up and end up in NL or with a last minute vote switch to someone (not to mention we will still have Toad and VE lying around fucking and confusing things up, and if we lynch town today it basicly means we lost if we have to go through the VE vs Toad thing again on D3). VE, Toad, did you guys already stated your opinion on BH by now? If not, what do you think of him? | ||

I agree that a mass switch onto BH would be one of the few that I would support. Things that BH has done: 1. push 1 read, S.T. for D1/N1 cycle 2. plop a vote on VE saying "lol obvious scum" Wasn't BH once known for spamming threads and being aggressive and stuff? This is so strange from him. | ||
