In GoT it was more logical to trust me b/c no scum would give themselves up as DT like that when DTs were 100% confirmed sane. In this game that isn't the case. We can't just trust a DT claim even if he gets lynched. A town VE would have presented the option of lynching him today and Toad tomorrow, though. Because he's SO SURE he's sane, right? TL;DR: VE is so scum. How can you not think he's scum? You people make me sad :/ derp Risen already posted this, I thought I was going nuts because I couldn't find it. Thank you Risen for posting popcorn and helping me find your filter :p This is essentially what I just argued, from the perspective of a guy who, as town, claimed DT day 2 in a previous game (that was sized the same as this one) So let's recap here, shall we? 1. VE comes into day 2 with a vote on Toad, saying that the events of the night have changed his mind about Hassy. He offers no explanation for his vote on Toad, other than the Professor Badass picture (that is usually attributed to Ver) 2. Toad flips out and OMGUSes VE 3. I say I'm starting to think VE is scum, and ask him why Toad is scum 4. VE responds with "killing Toad will give me information about your (WBG's) alignment, and he is CLEARLY scum, I just have to convince you!" 5. I respond with, "that's not a reason for calling someone scum, and merely saying he's clearly scum is not giving a reason either" 6. VE starts flipping out as I go to bed; thread begins to explode 7. I'm still asleep, but VE copies Toad's case format and makes these massive walls of text that basically nitpick everything in Toad's filter 8. Later as it's apparent that the tide is against him VE starts flipping out more and says "DON'T MAKE ME CLAIM" 9. Nothing really changes but VE claims anyway, saying he's got a red check on Toad and he's "probably sane" (the fuck?) 10. I wake up and point out that the claim makes no sense from a town perspective because no decent DT would claim in that situation with so much uncertainty, yet try to pawn the check off as being certain 11. VE claims to have "forgotten" about paranoid/naive possibilities (really it's just the paranoid possibility) but still continues to push Toad. 12. I point out that he still has no valid reason for pushing Toad other than the purported red check; VE continues to flip out. I doubt the "I forgot about those sanity possibilities" claim 13. People start believing VE is town (this I don't understand) now it looks like we're losing support for a VE lynch but we're gaining support for a Toad lynch. hmmm. Well, if Toad gets lynched and I'm wrong I'll look like an ass. I'm fine with that. However, if Toad flips scum it'll be by pure, dumb luck. All the signs point to VE being scum and to think otherwise would be to ignore the mountains of evidence that exist against him. | ||

Not only is that disingenuous to say as town, it's completely retarded because of the setup. It doesn't matter if you forgot about paranoia as a mechanic, because that means you'd be ignoring the framer and miller mechanics too. | ||

He is contradicting himself, he is changing his story all the time so that it fits what other people found in his filter, yet people get in here somehow believing every word he says without giving a reason to why they believe this 5-way-story. I just don't know what to say anymore | ||
