I skimmed RoL's filter in Storm Mafia; I didn't see a DT claim, am I fcking blind? He mentions that "redFF's tracker claim midday was dumb", I don't see a DT claim.
@ghost If I was scum, I wouldn't have claimed the shot. It doesn't make me look townie, it makes me look more scum. Ghost is OMGUS'ing me because I've called him suspicious a few times. I think you're needlessly bringing that up at this time; I called anyone who thought I was suspicious for taking the shot to say so earlier.

His utter about face scares me a bit. This post, he's full throttle, let's end this guy. Here, not much has changed. Suddenly, fifteen minutes later, let's slow down. Then, full about face. Check two thirds of the way down his filter for the whole thing in better context.
If he was scum, he would have started on the VE bandwagon, but now he takes the opportunity to jump off as enough of the town is on board. Then, after the mislynch, he gains even more townie credit by saying that he opposed the VE lynch.
And all it cost was a single mafia KP.

That's not the first time that you said that. In fact, almost all of your posts first after your shot include something about you being scummy because of it. Why would a town vig do that? If you were a townie vig, you're a confirmed townie at this point. You mindswell make use of that status before the scum end you.

I think MichaelThe was a good vig target. He was inactive in the thread, made bad posts, and probably wouldn't have been able to defend himself against any real scrutiny. Thanks to your vig shot, we don't have to debate whether he's a terrible townie or scum. You saved the town a mislynch.
Also, why were you so concerned about finding out who the other shot belonged to? sputnik.theory matches the description above perfectly. If it was a scum vig shot, thanks scum! If not, thanks town! So, who cares why the vig made the shot?

his responses have been seemingly honest and pro-town. he's looking for scum, the way i see it. he may have done the claim at a bad time but looking at it without the votes on him prior to it makes sense in order to solidify a vote on someone he's been actively pushing, sanities aside (seeing as he already suspected toad, the red check coming back only gave him more of a reason, the way i see it). his recent responses seem frustrated with the current state of town, as they should be. he overlooked some things but responded to them saying he did, indeed, overlook them and didn't come up with excuses to say that he did think about them and some other bullshit excuses. he seems honest and is acting a lot more like the VE I knew in the other mafias i played. so that's why.

I'm still trying to figure out in what world a town DT would check Toad night 1, and I can't understand it at all.
If I were town in VE's position as a DT I would check me or Jackal 100% of the time (WBG or Jackal). Why? Because both of us are purportedly "hard to read" and VE thinks my scum play is good. In addition, he'd know that if I were town I'd make a good kill for mafia.
So, in that case I would be very likely to flip n1 if I were town (giving him a sanity check almost immediately) or I'd live and he'd have a check to weigh against later.
Now, let's say as a town DT you actually DO check Toad. At that point you receive whatever result you want, who cares. Why, at that point, would you instantly push the check instead of hiding it? As a DT you need the guy to flip (so you want to lynch him) but you don't want to telegraph that you're a DT. If you do what VE did mafia would know instantly that he's a DT with a red check on Toad. What good does it do for town to claim you're a DT at that point?
At no point do I understand how VE comes across the idea "oh now claiming would be good" if he were town. He knows what happened in GoT (or at least I'd hope he knows) with Risen/Acrofales. Risen died in that situation because he made a piss poor decision to claim at a horrible time. However, Risen's check was 100% true. Wouldn't VE as a town DT know that if he died and his check was actually false on Toad, he'd fuck over town doubly?
Why would he, as town, take such a massive risk? I don't follow the reasoning and I don't think town VE would do this. He'd know the possibility of him being wrong (with an incorrect check on Toad) would be high and that if he made it all-or-nothing he'd screw over town by causing the deaths of TWO town players instead of potentially just one.
That seems like a huge risk to take as town.
As for could VE be derping and just be dumb and do this, certainly possible. I'm not one to rely on blues though, and certainly the only way I can explain VE's play is to consider that he is being dumb and only looking at the check he got and nothing else. If that is the case then VE has played far worse than any townie I've seen in a while. (no offense if that's actually true, but if you're actually town and you only considered the fact that you had a red check, that's fucking awful play)
