The puzzle has been solved. I forgot to mention that starting to day and every day from now on you must vote on a member to execute. Voting is done in this thread, please refer to the OP for voting rules.
Satana.....
The Caesar bust turns around in a 180 degree circle and you hear a click from upstairs. The party agrees that before moving on to a possibly dangerous upper level, it must be determined who in the party is a threat. The party must vote on someone to kill before moving to the next level.

I solved the puzzle by the way
|
The first puzzle that is, the second one still has to or can be solved
|
syllo can you explain the answer to us all in the thread or is that not allowed.
|
that's fine. i'm disappointed it was solved so quickly though.
|
If it makes you feel any better I skimmed it and thought "nah, fuck this shit, someone else can deal with this".

Well activity isn't going to create itself. I woke up in a bloody room, I heard a child laughing, so far this is consistent with what others have said, Can we talk about what our room looks like?. My room is fairly plain, but maybe we can glean something by constructing some sort of picture of all our rooms.
I have made no progress on the second puzzle but I've PM'd DrH with a question about the it which may help us out.
I'd like Varpulis to elaborate on the puzzle he received.
|
There was an empty cabinet in my room
and yes, I heard the child laughter too, and had blood on the walls
|
Curu heard a young hermaphrodite's laughter when he woke, probably Trotske's. He also found a sappy romance DVD in his closet.
Probably also Trotske's.
|
dimly lit, bookshelf and cabinet, empty bed, walls stained with blood, damp floor with foul smelling water from ceiling.

Is our room description even relevant? Discussing flavor text seems more distracting than anything.
Palmar, I assume you made up your cult role? We don't exactly need another imaginary faction like chezinu's banking services -_-
I'll vote syllogism for now. I found it weird that he found it necessary to tell us that we was going to focus on the puzzles. (Thanks for solving it btw :p)

Curu stared at the psycho kitaman27 babbling on about his nonsensical suspicions. The big buff Syllogism had just solved the clue to the next room, that was not enough reason to suspect someone.
Suddenly Curu whirled around. There was Coagulation, creeping up behind him. Quickly Coagulation hid his hand behind his back; that same hand held a red knife dripping with the innards of Jaedong.
Elsewhere in the room Mig the Colossus abruptly tipped and fell in hilarious fashion because he was imbalanced.

Solving the puzzles will probably help the town, him telling us that he's gonne solve the puzzle seems reasonable considering that he actually solved it and didn't use his statement as an excuse for inactivity. What about that do you find weird?

Really fast votes generate more discussion than discussing flavor text, no?
Solving puzzles seems to be the easiest way to gain town cred without inflicting much damage to ones own scum team. I know if I had drawn a scum role, that would be my first priority.

Well you've generated discussion :D
I get your point about easy town cred but I feel that would come into play later in the game when there's more going on and reds need a reason to be active but not not scumhunt, when syllo made his statement there wasn't anything going on so there would be no reason for a scum to even pop up and and be heard.
Anyway beyond syllo, if he hadn't made his statement who would you have "discussion voted" instead and why?

Curu also stared at redFF, the paranoid used cars salesman, very suspiciously. Perhaps even more suspiciously than Coagulation. Some business about "role PM" and knowing that they changed. Curu's own had not changed.

I don't think it's just flavor kita, but I think there are reasons not to discuss exactly what was in our rooms unless it seems relevant to something already on the table. I don't want to say what was in my room.
Syllogism solved the puzzle really fast, and I'd think he would have discussed it with his team if he was mafia. But he could have done it for reasons kita stated, so I think that dipping into WIFOM territory.
I think syllo should tell us how he solved it so we can guess at the nature of the next puzzle, and also if syllo has any reason for solving it other then what was stated in the day post.

@Meapak, dunno, maybe you for your irrelevant mentioning of the building layout, which promotes discussion without contribution? Anyone pop out to you yet?
Now to be completely hypocritical and discuss the puzzles: This was an image in the night zero post and seems to possibly have something to do with a leviathan:

Sigil of Baphomet
In Satanism, according to the author of The Satanic Bible, Anton Szandor LaVey, Leviathan represents the element of Water and the direction of West. The element of Water in Satanism is associated with life and creation, and may be represented by a Chalice during ritual. In The Satanic Bible, Leviathan is listed as one of the Four Crown Princes of Hell. This association was inspired by the demonic hierarchy from The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abra-Melin the Mage. The Church of Satan uses the Hebrew letters at each of the points of the Sigil of Baphomet to represent Leviathan. Starting from the lowest point of the pentagram, and reading counter-clockwise, the word reads "לִוְיָתָן". Translated, this is (LVIThN) Leviathan.
It could also have something to do with Envy. I'm not exactly sure what is being asked.

Hmm that's interesting because I can't see how the contents of my room can be anything, but flavor. I don't blame you for not wanting to share all your satanic idols you've been collecting I suppose. Carry on.
